Statement of Grievance and Solidarity

We are devastated and heartbroken by the tragic accident that occurred today at Milestone School and College in Diabari, Uttara, where a Bangladesh Air Force training jet crashed directly into the school premises during class hours.

According to current reports, 17 innocent lives have been lost, and over 70 students and teachers have been severely injured, many of them critically. Among the deceased are students filled with dreams, educators dedicated to shaping the future, and a pilot who gave his life in service to the country.

This is not only a national tragedy—it is a personal loss for every school, every teacher, and every family in Bangladesh.

On behalf of The Radius International School and Radius International Academy , we offer our:
• Deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this unimaginable tragedy.
• Prayers and support for the injured and their loved ones, who are now fighting to recover physically and emotionally.
• Solidarity with the entire Milestone School and College community, who have lost classmates, colleagues, and friends.
• Respect for the bravery of first responders, volunteers, and medical teams working tirelessly in the aftermath of this disaster.

We also call on the government and civil aviation authorities to launch a full and transparent investigation, and to take every step necessary to ensure such a catastrophe never happens again in or near an educational institution.

This day will forever be remembered as one of the darkest in our nation’s educational history. Let us come together in grief, in support, and in resolve to protect the safety and dignity of our schools.

May the departed souls rest in eternal peace.
May the injured find swift and full recovery.
And may we, as a nation, never forget.
