As the population is quite less in Maldives, ultimately the patients are less too. Mostly a medical officer doing duty of 8 hours/day and 48 hours/wk. Less physical and mental load and quite easy than doing job in Bangladesh. Salary starts from 1514 $+food allowance 120 $+accomodation162 $- for medical officer,2567 $+454 $+156 $ for associate specialist,3000 $+454 $+156 $ for consultant
More experienced doctors will got more salary. Apart from 8 hrs daily excess duty will be concluded as over time. Work done on weekends and holidays will also be over time duty. Living with family is also safe and secured. Accommodation
Well furnished house will be given in the hospital campus or close to the hospital having well bedrooms with attached bathrooms, TV lounge, well set up kitchen, washing machine and small courtyard. Hire of any house/apartment also possible
No concept of load shading too. No need to buy any tools, bed sheet etc. Every necessary things will be provided
Some rules
Initial contract is 1-2 year and renewable
After passage of first 3 months, if you resign have to inform 3 months before. After completion of 1 year, the hospital will grant free return ticket along with the travel allowances for leave of 1 month. Also has10 day as emergency leave WITHOUT any travel allowances
Also have facilities of total 30 days sick live. On Eid Ul Fitar Govt will provided extra pay for refreshment
Process of Documentation
After acceptance of all documents need for registration. You have to fill a form to get registered in MMC.(Maldives Maldives Council)
Once registered the MMC will forward documents to MOH. MOH will issue an approval letter and will be sent to Hospital
Hospital will issue an invitation letter that includes salary and other conditions. You have to sign the invitation or offer letter and send back to MOH,to issue Work permit
If signed offer letter does not send back in due time chance of disqualified. Work permit letter will be issued within 2-4 weeks normally after the signed invitation letter is forwarded. You have to grab ticket and land at Male within 2 weeks from the day you
get your work permit. You should have offer letter and work permit while traveling because
when you land in Male, your passport will be stamped by the immigration department to have the right to work legally. You will get work visa at Male airport. The whole process takes about 45-90 days
Payment module
A sum of non refundable 2500 US$ /200,000 (two lacs) tk for medical officer and 3000 US$ for specialist and from that half of the amount should be paid on taking offer letter and rest of the amount during taking work permit. If any failure to come before taking offer letter and after taking MMDC pre registration, clients should be given demurrages of 200 US$

Services after arrival at Male
A copy of your ticket should be emailed early some day before your flight so that the representative will receive you at airport and lead you to the hotel in Male. You have to submit your passport in MOH to get your work permit card. Sign in a contract paper and go to posting area. You have to pay first for the hotel, work permit card, travel expenses upto reached at posted hospital. But All these expenditures are refundable. You have to pay for your food expenses only. Your salary will start from the day you land in Male. Doing job as a doctor in Maldives is quite easy. Arrival at hospital
Submit your ticket and other expensed to the hospital administration, the hospital will refund your ticket and others valued. Patient's language
