EUB Department of Business Administration continues the journey of the “Professional Talk Series”

Following the successful first two episodes, the Department of Business Administration, European University of Bangladesh proudly organized Episode 3 and Episode 4 of the Professional Talk Series, featuring two of our own esteemed alumni—professionals who once sat in our classrooms and are now making impactful contributions in the industry.

🔹 Episode 3 | Mr. Md. Tareq Hossain Sohag
Head of Operation, BSL
An alumnus of the Business Department and a Marketing major, Mr. Sohag conducted an insightful session for Marketing major students, along with students of Marketing Management and Principles of Marketing. Drawing from his extensive experience in sales and operations across leading F&B brands, he shared real-life marketing practices, industry challenges, and career insights, helping students understand how marketing theories translate into practical job-field applications.

🔹 Episode 4 | Mr. Md. Omar Faruque
Manager, Siddiqua Ayesha Chartered Accountant
CACC, ACNABIN
Mr. Faruque, another proud alumnus, led a highly engaging session for our Accounting major students under the theme “Financial Reporting and Industry Practices” as part of Accounting in Practice. His discussion provided students with a clear understanding of professional accounting standards, real-world reporting practices, and expectations of the accounting profession.

Having our precious alumni return as knowledge partners made these sessions even more meaningful and inspiring for our students. The Professional Talk Series continues to strengthen the bridge between academia and industry—powered by experience, excellence, and alumni pride.

EUB Department of Business Administration proudly presents the “Professional Talk Series”

The Department of Business Administration, European University of Bangladesh, has recently launched a new academic initiative titled “Professional Talk Series”—a platform designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry practices. Through this series, renowned industry experts are invited to share their professional journeys, insights, and hands-on experiences, blending practical knowledge with theoretical concepts for our students.

We are delighted to share that the first session featured two distinguished guests in the 1st two episodes.

🔹 Mr. Muhammed Ali Ashraf
Senior Executive Officer, Premier Bank PLC
Mr. Ashraf shared valuable insights with our Finance major students, including those enrolled in Financial Markets & Institutions and Corporate Finance courses. His session provided a practical understanding of the banking and financial sector, helping students connect academic theories with real-life financial operations and decision-making.

🔹 Ms. Laila Habib
PhD Candidate (Management), Putra Business School, UPM, Malaysia
Ms. Habib conducted an engaging session for our HRM major students, focusing on HR Planning, Conflict Management, and Negotiation Skills. Her discussion emphasized industry-relevant competencies and contemporary HR practices essential for today’s dynamic workplace.

The Professional Talk Series is a step forward in preparing our students to become competent, confident, and industry-ready professionals. We look forward to hosting more such impactful sessions in the future.

The 3rd Entrepreneurship Development Fair, held in Fall 2025, aimed to provide students with hands-on entrepreneurial experience, encourage innovation, and strengthen practical business skills. Students designed business ideas, implemented them through stalls, interacted with real customers, and managed operations independently. Students reported improvement in:
✅ Entrepreneurial mindset and business planning;
✅Real-life customer engagement;
✅Problem-solving under pressure;
✅Team management and communication;
✅Digital promotion and branding skills;
✅Understanding of market demand and consumer behavior.
