On the occasion of 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the College of Nursing, IUBAT, in collaboration with Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital (AMCGH) and Uttara Blood Foundation (UBF), organized an awareness and voluntary blood donation program under the theme, "Give Blood, Give Hope: Together We Save Lives."

The program featured an awareness rally, free blood grouping and donor selection, an interactive quiz session, and the seminar titled "Campus to Community." Professor Dr. Abdur Rab, Vice Chancellor of IUBAT, along with other distinguished guests, addressed the audience and shared their valuable remarks. The seminar also included a keynote session by Dr. Abrar Kabir Shishir and concluded with remarks by Dr. Sandra Rumi Madhu, Associate Professor and Chair of the College of Nursing, IUBAT.

Blood donation is one of the purest acts of humanity. A single donation can save multiple lives and bring hope to patients fighting for survival every day.

Through awareness activities, voluntary blood donation campaigns, and community engagement, we aim to inspire more people to become regular blood donors and champions of life.

𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 – 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 was successfully held at IUBAT on 4 June 2026 with great enthusiasm and grandeur, formally welcoming the newly admitted students into the university’s vibrant academic community.

The Initiation Speech was delivered by Professor Selina Nargis, Treasurer and Director of Administration, IUBAT. The address for the newly admitted students was delivered by Professor Dr. Abdur Rab, Vice-Chancellor of IUBAT.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Arup Ratan Choudhury, Founding President, MANAS (Association for the Prevention of Drug Abuse). The Special Guests included Rupali Haque Chowdhury, Managing Director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited; Dr. Syed Alamgir, renowned corporate leader and marketing expert; Ardra Kurien, CEO of Unico Hospitals PLC; and Mohammad Ayman Sadiq, Founder and CEO of 10 Minute School. The alumni representative address was delivered by Mashrufa Karim, First Officer of Biman Bangladesh Airlines. As a token of appreciation, crests were presented to the distinguished guests during the program. The closing remarks were delivered by Professor Dr. Mohammad Mahmudur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor of IUBAT, marking the program's formal conclusion.

IUBAT is delighted to welcome its newly admitted students to the Freshmen Initiation Program for the Summer 2026 Semester, to be held on Thursday, June 04, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the IUBAT Campus.
