Over the last few days, one question has been on almost every Daffodil International University student's mind:
Why was another institution operating inside our campus in the first place?
Let's be clear. This has never been about being against AIBT or its students.
This is about DIU students and the campus we invested in.
We joined DIU not just for a degree. We chose it for its campus, environment, facilities, opportunities and the overall university experience. Every semester we pay tuition, development fees, transport fees and many other costs.But seeing someone will get the same benefits with a degree of 1 lakh tk while we are investing 8-10 lakhs is totally unfair and unacceptable!
So when another institution starts operating inside our campus without students knowing the full picture, it's completely normal for us to ask questions.
How will this affect our classrooms, labs, library, transport, sports facilities and other resources?
Will the campus become more crowded?
How does this decision benefit existing DIU students?
These aren't complaints. These are genuine questions from the students who are part of this university.
Many of us were disappointed because a university that proudly represents itself as one of Bangladesh's leading private universities should always prioritize transparency when making decisions that directly affect its students. Open communication builds trust and silence only creates confusion.
Today, DIU has finally responded.(even though we know for only temporarily jeno sobai chup hye jay but we will not tolerate it if it happens permanently!
According to the university, AIBT's activities at Daffodil Smart City are currently suspended. The university also stated that the process of relocating AIBT's activities had already started around three weeks ago.
DIU has also formed an investigation committee to review the entire matter in a fair and transparent way. The committee has already begun its work and the university says further decisions will be taken after the investigation report.
We appreciate that the university has officially addressed the issue. We now hope the investigation is completed transparently and that every future decision puts DIU students and our campus first.
Because at the end of the day —
This is our university. Our campus.Always will be ours only...🌍💌
