Knowing anything increases your chances of getting a good job in a multinational company within your Knowledge is what allows us to advance to a better life.

Without the ability to collect, organize, and pass down knowledge then we as a race would not be at the technological and, more importantly, medical advancement that we are today. Actually without knowledge you would never know that you were existing so therefore it would all be totally pointless, but you wouldn't know that because you do not have the knowledge to know any better.
