Padma Bridge – A Symbol of National Pride

The Padma Bridge is the largest and most ambitious infrastructure project in Bangladesh's history. Spanning the mighty Padma River, it connects the southwestern region to the northern and eastern parts of the country. This multipurpose road-rail bridge is 6.15 kilometers long and was inaugurated on June 25, 2022. Built entirely with Bangladesh's own funding, it stands as a symbol of national pride, determination, and engineering excellence. The bridge has significantly boosted trade, connectivity, and economic growth, especially in the previously underdeveloped southwestern region.
