All aboard the Chader Buri express! The moon granny is coming to the UK for a nakshi kantha storytelling tour. Textile artist Ibraheem Paling, publisher and tale-spinner Rumana Yasmin of Bok Bok Books and Curator of HerStory Foundation, Katerina Don will be visiting London, Settle, Saltburn and New Castle this August to spread some embroidered moon dust from Bangladesh!

This August, together with Bok Bok Books and Ibraheem Paling, our magical nakshi kantha children's book is traveling to the UK and Netherlands for a series of story-times and workshops!

সম্প্রতি রাজধানীর উত্তরায় মাইলস্টোন স্কুল ও কলেজে মর্মান্তিক দুর্ঘটনায় একাধিক শিক্ষার্থী প্রাণ হারিয়েছে৷ আমরা হারস্টোরি ফাউন্ডেশন পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে এ ঘটনায় গভীর শোক ও সমবেদনা প্রকাশ করছি।

The tragic accident at Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka, claimed the lives of many students and teachers. On behalf of the HerStory family, we express our deepest condolences and sympathy over this heartbreaking incident.
Children are our future, and such untimely deaths are not just a loss to one family but an irreparable loss to the entire nation. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved families of the deceased children.
At the same time, we urge all citizens to act responsibly to prevent any such unfortunate incidents in the future. Ensuring a safe and caring environment for children is our collective responsibility.

Meeting Cathy Stevulak, the maker of the documentary Threads on the life and work of nakshi kantha artist Suraya Rahman.
Together with we are researching the craft for our nakshi kantha inspired books - following threads to reveal visual codes, histories, and much more.
