Inauguration of the Shahid Ahnaf Memorial

The "Shahid Ahnaf Memorial" was inaugurated on September 29, 2024, honoring the remarkable Shaheed Shafiq Uddin Ahmed Ahnaf. This brilliant student from Dhaka, a fellow rover and member of Scout Generation 25, was tragically killed during the anti-discrimination student movement. The ceremony was attended by Honorable Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, who served as the chief guest. Also present were the President of the College's Board of Directors, senior Air Force officers, Ahnaf's family, teachers, and fellow students.

Ahnaf, a class eleven student at BAF Shaheen College, was shot on August 4 while courageously standing up for justice. His sacrifice during the movement has left an indelible mark on the college community. In recognition of his legacy, the college has declared August 4 as "Ahnaf Day." This day will serve as a reminder of his commitment to equality and justice.

The establishment of the memorial symbolizes the college’s dedication to honoring his memory. Additionally, Ahnaf's younger brother has been granted free education at BAF Shaheen College. He has already been admitted to the sixth standard, ensuring that Ahnaf's legacy continues within the family.

The inauguration of the memorial reflects the decisions of the college management to honor Ahnaf’s spirit. His fearless actions serve as an inspiration for all students. Ahnaf’s courage in the face of adversity will motivate future generations to advocate for justice. His memory will forever resonate within the walls of BAF Shaheen College.

As we remember Shaheed Ahnaf, we reaffirm our commitment to fighting against injustice. His legacy will guide us in our pursuit of a fairer society. Let us carry forward his spirit of courage and dedication, ensuring that his sacrifice is never forgotten.

On September 28, we proudly celebrate Air Force Day, marking the establishment of the Bangladesh Air Force. This day reminds us of the courage and sacrifice of our freedom fighters who, in 1971, answered the call of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. They stood shoulder to shoulder with the people of Bangladesh during our liberation struggle.

The launch of 'Kilo Flight' on September 26, 1971, with the support of the Indian Air Force, was a turning point. This mission, featuring brave Bengali pilots and technicians, executed 50 air operations, playing a crucial role in our victory. Their relentless spirit and dedication continue to inspire generations.

Let us honor and remember those who fought for our freedom.

Today, we gather in somber remembrance of a true hero, Lt. Tanzim Sarwar Nirjon (BA-11453), who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. As an ex-cadet and a brave army officer, he devoted his life to the service of our nation, demonstrating unparalleled courage during a joint force operation in Cox’s Bazar, Chakaria. In a selfless act of bravery, he sought to negotiate with armed terrorists, putting himself in harm's way to protect others. Tragically, he was brutally attacked and sustained fatal injuries, leaving us to mourn the loss of a remarkable young man.

Lt. Nirjon’s legacy will forever inspire generations, reminding us of the dedication and valor required to serve our country. His unwavering commitment to safety and justice has left a profound impact on all who knew him. In this moment of deep grief, our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and comrades who are feeling this immense loss.

We pray that Allah grants him the highest place in Jannah and provides strength to his loved ones during this challenging time. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un. Lt. Tanzim Sarwar Nirjon will always be remembered as a patriot, a protector, and a brave son of our nation. His sacrifice, made for the safety of the people, will never be forgotten.

On this day of mourning, let us extend our heartfelt condolences to his family. It is because of courageous souls like Lt. Nirjon that our country remains safe. Respect and love to you, brave warrior; your courage will live on in our hearts forever.

Eid Mubarak Al Milad Un Nabi! ☪️

Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, also known as Mawlid, commemorates the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. It is a significant day for Muslims worldwide, who reflect on the Prophet's teachings and life. It is worth noting that the Prophet passed away on the same day.

The celebration occurs during Rabi’ al-Awwal, the 12th day of the third month in the Islamic calendar. This year, Milad-un-Nabi will be observed from the evening of September 15 to September 16, 2024.

What a fantastic day at the ONE DAY CAMP with Gen 25 on September 4, 2024!

Members gathered in front of the Sports Room to start the day. Day began with a light yet hearty breakfast, setting the stage for a productive morning.
There was a theoretical class according to their Rover Squire Book . They participated in written exams also followed by a Crew Meeting.
The afternoon brought a special visit from Honorable Principal sir,VP sir,Adjutant sir.
Then after lunch, Former rank holders of Gen 23 taught Gen 25 about knots and lashing. They played some fun and games. The beautiful day ended with some cultural activities and a photoshoot with the honorable teachers!

A special shoutout to Gen 24 for guiding Gen 25 and to Gen 23 for their motivating presence!

As of August 2024, Bangladesh is experiencing severe flooding due to heavy monsoon rains and upstream water flow from the Himalayas. The situation has led to widespread displacement, with thousands of people forced to evacuate their homes. Key areas affected including Feni,Comilla,Noakhali,Hobiganj,Khagrachori. The flooding has disrupted transportation, damaged infrastructure, and posed significant risks to health and agriculture. Humanitarian efforts are underway to provide relief and support to the affected populations, but challenges remain due to the scale and intensity of the flooding.

Bangladesh Air Force বন্যাকবলিত মানুষকে উদ্ধারে ২টি AW-139 MSAR বিশেষায়িত হেলিকপ্টার, ৪ টি Mi-171sH, ৪টি Bell -212 হেলিকপ্টার নিয়োজিত করেছে। এছাড়া প্রয়োজনে ব্যবহার করবার জন্যে আরো ৪টি হেলিকপ্টার সার্বক্ষনিক প্রস্তুত রয়েছে। যারা আটকে পড়েছেন, হেলিকপ্টারের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষনের জন্যে, নিরাপত্তার সাথে বাসার ছাদে ৪০ ফুটের উপরের উচ্চতায় লাল নিশানা ব্যবহারের চেষ্টা করতে পারেন। বৈরি আবহাওয়ার কারনে হেলিকপ্টারের সাহায্যে উদ্ধারকার্য ব্যাহত হচ্ছে।

বিমানবাহিনীর সাহায্যের প্রয়োজন হলে +880 1769 990 011 যোগাযোগ করতে অনুরোধ করা হচ্ছে। এ দুঃসময়ে একান্তই প্রয়োজন ছাড়া অযথা ফোন না করবার অনুরোধ করা হল।

We started working early in the morning to ensure that traffic moves smoothly.

government, curious citizens vandalized and looted the area around the Rampura to South Banasree , leaving it littered with garbage. In response, BAF Shaheen College Dhaka Air Rover Scout Unit took it upon themselves to clean the area

Air Rovers continued to be in charge of
traffic management as volunteers for the second consecutive day.

They were not allowing even any vehicles including rickshaws and motorcycles to take the wrong way or the wrong lane or stand on the intersections
