Bangladesh has divided the responsibilities of State Ministers for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir and Shama Obaed Islam.

Humaiun Kobir has been designated State Minister for Foreign Affairs-1. He will oversee bilateral and multilateral affairs, issues concerning non-resident Bangladeshis, and other matters assigned by the foreign minister.

Shama Obaed Islam has been designated State Minister for Foreign Affairs-2. Her responsibilities include human rights, climate change, ICT, LDC graduation, global health diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, sports diplomacy, law of the sea and marine resources.

The Foreign Ministry says the distribution was approved by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been elected president after receiving 255 votes in the presidential election. BNP candidate Fakhrul defeated Jamaat-e-Islami-led alliance candidate Col (retd) Oli Ahmed, who received 88 votes.

All 349 lawmakers cast their votes at the Jatiya Sangsad. The voting ended at 5pm, and Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin announced the result.

Meta is facing a major trial in California over allegations that Facebook and Instagram were designed to keep children and teenagers online for longer.

Twenty-nine US states are involved in the lawsuit. The states accuse Meta of misleading the public about child safety, collecting children's personal data, and using features that encourage young people to keep returning to the platforms.

Meta strongly denies the allegations and says it has taken steps to protect young users.

The trial is expected to last six to eight weeks, with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg expected to testify.

২। অনলাইনে আবেদনকৃত শিক্ষার্থীদের ৪০৮ নং কক্ষে পরীক্ষা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।

পরীক্ষার্থীরা Admit card / (Online Payment slip or application form+ NID) ব্যতীত পরীক্ষার হলে প্রবেশ করতে পারবে না।

Six Bangladeshi expatriates have died in a devastating fire at a supershop in Queenstown, South Africa. The tragedy has left families in Narayanganj and Munshiganj overwhelmed with grief.

Three of the victims were from Krokerchar village in Narayanganj. Among them was 28-year-old Fahim, who had worked in South Africa for nearly ten years. He was preparing to return home later this year, support his family, and get married.

Another victim, 20-year-old Apon, had dreamed of completing his family's house. His grieving mother repeatedly cried for her son, while his brother said the family only wished they could bring back his ashes for a proper burial.

The fire also claimed the life of 55-year-old Nur Mohammad, who had spent years working abroad to support his family and educate his children.

The other victims were Faisal, Shahin, and Razik.

This heartbreaking incident highlights the sacrifices made by Bangladeshi migrant workers and the immense pain their families face when tragedy strikes far from home.
