on Argentina-Brazil held at NDUB

Notre Dame University Bangladesh Debating Club (NDUBDC) hosted a humorous debate session on Tuesday (May 19, 2026) at the university auditorium focusing on Argentina and Brazil ahead of upcoming FIFA World Cub 2026.

The program, titled “Echoes of Reason: NDUB Debate Assembly 2.0”, kicked off with a welcome speech by Sr. Shagorica Maria Gomes, CSC, Deputy Director of Student Affairs, followed by a speech by Club Moderator Dr. Vhokto Kumar Biswas.

Shushmita Banik, Lecturer at City University and former debater of Jagannath University Debating Club, joined the session as the speaker.

During the session, debaters, taking the floor in favor of Argentina and Brazil teams, presented their arguments saying that “Ebarer Bishwocup-e Amrai Shera!” (We are the best in this world cup).

Earlier, the club organized several programs, including Parliamentary Debate, Extempore Speech, and Quiz Competition, where participants showed their speaking skills, critical thinking and creativity.

On the other hand, students arranged several stalls on the campus which added extra attraction to the event and created a lively festival-like environment throughout the day.

Later, the introduction ceremony of the 8th Executive Panel of the club was held, followed by the prize-giving ceremony for the winners and participants.
