MIU Pharmacy Students Visited the Country's Leading Pharmaceutical Industry, Ibne Sina

The Department of Pharmacy of Manarat International University organized an industrial tour on 15 January 2025 (Wednesday) for the students of various batches of the department in order to attain practical knowledge about operational procedures of the pharmaceutical industry. During the tour they have visited the country's leading pharmaceutical company, Ibne Sina Pharmaceutical Industry Plc, situated at Shafipur, Gazipur.

The program was arranged as a part of the course curriculum led by Rikta Banu, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, MIU; Jannatul Mewa, Lecturer of the Department, was also present.

Students visited various departments of this pharmaceutical industry, and they were allowed to observe the distribution of raw materials, granulation techniques, compression of tablets, and finally, packaging of medicines, etc. They were introduced to many talented, young, and experienced pharmacists and shared their emotions with each other at the time of visiting.

At the same time, the students got the opportunity to gather knowledge about the advanced equipment as well as the technologies.

A group of pharmacists of the Ibne Sina Pharmaceutical Industry Plc, who were also the former graduates of the Pharmacy Department of MIU, welcomed their teachers and juniors with flowers and guided them to visit the industry.

It is to mention that currently twenty-six former students of the Pharmacy Department of MIU are working in various departments of the leading pharmaceutical industry.

Munshi Khaledur Rahman, Assistant Professor, Georgia Southern University, and Emma, a research student of the same university, have paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Vice-Chancellor (Acting), MIU, Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdur Rob, on Sunday (19 January 2025), in the office of the Vice-Chancellor at Gulshan Campus.

Dr. Md. Abu Taleb, Assistant Professor, CGED, and Additional Director, IQAC, was present at that time. The Vice-Chancellor thanked Munshi Khaledur Rahman and his research student Emma for visiting MIU and wished them success and prosperity in the future.

They also thanked MIU Vice-Chancellor for his warm wishes and expressed their emotions to work together in the fields of research with collaboration.
