একটা সময় আমাদের শিশুমনে প্রবল যন্ত্রনা কাজ করতো , যখন দেখতাম আমাদের সহপাঠী বন্ধুরা অর্থ কড়ির অভাবে পড়তে পারছে না। একটা স্কুলের জামা পড়ছে বছরের পর বছর। জামার রং ফিকে হয়ে গিয়েছে। শিশুটা বড় হচ্ছে কিন্তু তার বানানো জামা ছোট হয়ে যাচ্ছে।

এসব যন্ত্রনা হৃদয়ে তাড়না দিতো। সেই তাড়না থেকে আমরা গড়ে তুলি স্টুডেন্টস এইড ওয়েলফেয়ার ফান্ড যেখান থেকে আমরা নিজ উদ্যোগে সহযোগিতা করেছি দুইশত শিক্ষার্থীদের। বিভিন্ন কারণে আমাদের কার্যক্রম স্থগিত ছিল। তবে এই ফান্ডের দশ বছর পূর্তি হিসেবে আমরা আবার নতুন করে শুরু করতে যাচ্ছি।

জীবন চলার পথে বাধা আসতেই পারে তাই বলে থেমে যাওয়ার কোনো অবকাশ নেই। যেখানে বাধা আসবে সেখান থেকেই আবার শুরু করতে হবে।

World renowned physicist Stephen Hawking has died at the age of 76.

He died peacefully at his home in Cambridge in the early hours of Wednesday, his family said.

The Briton was known for his work with black holes and relativity, and wrote several popular science books including A Brief History of Time.

At the age of 22 Prof Hawking was given only a few years to live after being diagnosed with a rare form of motor neurone disease.
