The IEEE BRACU Student Branch Town hall Meeting was an evening filled with inspiration, reflection, and togetherness as most of our respected advisors came together to motivate and encourage our members. We took a moment to highlight our journey throughout the tenure, revisiting our key initiatives and milestones, most notably IEEE Week- the first of its kind in Bangladesh, which marked a proud moment for all of us.

The evening also featured merch distribution, shared laughter, and meaningful conversations that strengthened the bond within our IEEE community. We were honored to welcome the Executive Body members of 2024 as our guests of the evening, whose presence made the gathering even more special. Adding to the significance of the event, we were privileged to have our special guest, Registrar Dr. David Dowland, with us.

This Townhall Meeting marked the final event of the 2025 tenure, a heartfelt conclusion to a year of dedication, teamwork, and growth. As we close this chapter, we do so with gratitude for everyone who contributed to making this journey impactful and memorable.

𝐎𝐧 19𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 2025, IEEE BRACU Student Branch proudly hosted a seminar on “𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭 𝘚𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺” in collaboration with Ulkasemi at the BRAC University 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦. The session brought together 𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 who were eager to 𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 into one of the 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭-𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬.

The seminar featured distinguished speakers from Ulkasemi, including 𝐌𝐝. 𝐌𝐮𝐳𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐧 (𝘚𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘳 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘳, 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 & 𝘗𝘙), 𝐒𝐚𝐣𝐢𝐛 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐚 (𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳, 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘺 𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 & 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴), 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐞 (𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳, 𝘈𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘨 𝘓𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯) and finally 𝐑𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧 (𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘳, 𝘈𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘨 𝘓𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯). They shared their journeys, highlighted the 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵, and 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘩’𝘴 𝘱𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥. Their inspiring talks also shed light on the challenges the industry faces, while emphasizing the exciting career opportunities awaiting future engineers.

The auditorium was vibrant with energy as students actively engaged with the speakers and participated in discussions. 𝐀 𝐟𝐮𝐧 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 further added to the experience, with winners taking home exciting prizes. Overall, the seminar was both informative and inspiring, leaving attendees motivated to explore new career paths in semiconductor design and technology.

From demystifying semiconductor fundamentals to breaking down the VLSI design flow and chip fabrication process, the session explored: The global semiconductor ecosystem with which Mr Monzur talked about the career paths in design & manufacturing. Furthermore, the future of chip design in Bangladesh was also mentioned and how we are able to hit the right target to crack the formula. Subsequently, the event also demonstrated real-world industry roles & required skill sets for the Semiconductors Industries.
