এই ঐতিহাসিক ২৬শে মার্চে আমরা স্মরণ করি সেই অদম্য সাহসকে—যে সাহস আমাদের একটি জাতি দিয়েছে, যে ত্যাগ স্বপ্নকে পরিণত করেছে স্বাধীনতায়, আর যে দৃঢ়তা অন্যায়ের সামনে মাথা নত করতে শেখেনি। সংগ্রামের প্রতিধ্বনি থেকে স্বাধীনতার অর্জন—প্রতিটি মুহূর্ত আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেয়, কেন আমাদের কণ্ঠস্বর এত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
ঢাকা শাহীন ডিবেটিং ক্লাব এই স্বাধীনতার চেতনাকে শুধু স্মৃতিতে নয়, দায়িত্ব হিসেবে ধারণ করে। প্রতিটি যুক্তিতে, প্রতিটি সত্যের পক্ষে দাঁড়ানোয়, এবং প্রতিটি উচ্চারিত কণ্ঠে আমরা ধরে রাখতে চাই সেই আদর্শ, যার ভিত্তিতে গড়ে উঠেছে আমাদের বাংলাদেশ।
আজ আমরা শ্রদ্ধা জানাই অতীতকে, সেই সকল মানুষদের যাদের আত্মত্যাগের বিনিময়ে অর্জিত হয়েছে এই স্বাধীনতা, দৃঢ়ভাবে দাঁড়াই বর্তমান স্বাধীন সার্বভৌম বাংলাদেশে এবং অঙ্গীকার করি এমন এক ভবিষ্যতের—যেখানে ন্যায়, সত্য ও সাহস আমাদের পথচলার মূল শক্তি হয়ে থাকবে।

১৯৭১ সালের ২৫শে মার্চ।বাংলার ইতিহাসের এক কালো অধ্যায়। সেই বিভীষিকাময় রাত, যখন নিরস্ত্র, নিরীহ বাঙালির ওপর নেমে এসেছিল নির্মম হত্যাযজ্ঞ। ঘুমন্ত শহর জেগে উঠেছিল গোলাগুলির শব্দে, আগুনে পুড়েছিল স্বপ্ন, নিভে গিয়েছিল অসংখ্য প্রাণ। সেই রাত শুধু একটি তারিখ নয়, এটি আমাদের জাতির বেদনা, আমাদের অস্তিত্বের গভীরে খোদাই করা এক অমোচনীয় ক্ষত।

ঢাকা শাহীন ডিবেটিং ক্লাব গভীর শ্রদ্ধার সাথে স্মরণ করছে সেইসব শহীদদের, যাঁরা নিরস্ত্র থেকেও বরণ করেছেন অমরত্ব। তাঁদের আত্মত্যাগই আমাদের স্বাধীনতার ভিত্তি, তাঁদের রক্তেই রচিত হয়েছে একটি স্বাধীন দেশের মানচিত্র। আমরা তাঁদের আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনা করি এবং গভীর শ্রদ্ধার সহিত স্মরণ করছি।

এই দিনটি আমাদের শুধু শোকাহত করে না, আমাদের দায়িত্বের কথাও মনে করিয়ে দেয়- সত্যকে তুলে ধরা, ইতিহাসকে সংরক্ষণ করা, এবং অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে দৃঢ়ভাবে দাঁড়ানো। শহীদদের সেই আত্মত্যাগ যেন আমাদের চিন্তা, চেতনা ও কর্মে চিরজাগ্রত থাকে।

আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস ২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারি-এর গৌরবময় চেতনাকে ধারণ করে Dhaka Shaheen Debating Club আয়োজন করেছিল অনন্য এক বাগ্মিতা ও বিতর্কভিত্তিক প্রতিযোগিতা— “আমার একুশে বাগ্মিতা ১.০”।
ভাষার প্রতি গভীর ভালোবাসা, যুক্তির দৃঢ়তা এবং বক্তব্যের শক্তিশালী উপস্থাপনার মাধ্যমে প্রতিযোগিতাটি হয়ে উঠেছিল প্রাণবন্ত, প্রতিযোগিতামূলক ও অনুপ্রেরণামূলক। তরুণ বক্তাদের অংশগ্রহণে প্রতিটি মুহূর্ত ছিল উত্তেজনাপূর্ণ এবং চিন্তার গভীরতায় পরিপূর্ণ।

দ্বিতীয় স্থান — রাবিয়া রুশাফা
তৃতীয় স্থান — কামরুল ইসলাম নবীন

তাদের প্রত্যেকের যুক্তিপূর্ণ বক্তব্য, আত্মবিশ্বাসী উপস্থাপনা এবং ভাষার সৌন্দর্য ফুটিয়ে তোলার দক্ষতা সত্যিই প্রশংসার দাবিদার। এই অর্জন শুধু ব্যক্তিগত সাফল্য নয়, বরং ভবিষ্যতের জন্য এক শক্তিশালী সম্ভাবনার ইঙ্গিত বহন করে। “শব্দে যুক্তি, ভাষায় সত্য” — এই মূলমন্ত্রকে ধারণ করে তাদের এই সাফল্য আমাদের সকলের জন্যই অনুপ্রেরণা হয়ে থাকবে।

On 7 March 2026, Dhaka Shaheen Debating Club (DSDC) came together for a warm and memorable Iftar Meetup, celebrating the spirit of Ramadan with unity, reflection, and cherished conversations. 🤍

We were deeply honored to have the Honorable Vice Principal of BAF Shaheen College Dhaka and Former Moderator of DSDC, Md. Sajjad Hossain, as our Chief Guest. His presence and inspiring words made the evening even more special. We were also privileged to have DSDC Co-Moderator Nazneen Karim Mithi with us, alongside our respected alumni, current panelists, Section Representatives (SRs), and dedicated members of the club.

Moments like these remind us that DSDC is more than a debating club. It’s a family that grows together, learns together, and shares together. Grateful for the memories, conversations, and the bond that continues to unite generations of DSDC.
