The university was founded by the Dhaka Ahsania Mission in 1995. Dhaka Ahsania Mission is a non-profit voluntary organization in Bangladesh. The Mission was established in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah. It maintains close collabo

ration with the International Association of Universities (IAU), University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladesh and many other national and international education institutions and professional bodies

Loss of a Visionary Leader and Mentor

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mentor, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌. 𝐇. 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐫, who left us today, July 7, 2026, at 3:50 AM. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un.

Dr. M. H. Khan was not only a 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐌𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 but also the foundational pillar of our institution as its 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞-𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫. The entire AUST family mourns the loss of a great educator and leader.
