The final-year students of the Department of Textile Engineering are undergoing a rigorous two-month-long industrial internship program at various renowned textile and composite manufacturing industries as part of their academic curriculum.

The internship provides valuable hands-on experience and real-life industrial exposure, helping students bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice. The department actively assists students in securing internship opportunities and works closely with industry partners to support their learning and professional development. Each group is also assigned a faculty supervisor to monitor and guide their progress throughout the internship period.

At the end of the semester, the students will appear before a board of experts to present and assess the knowledge and experience gained during their internships. Several students also receive opportunities to begin their professional careers following the successful completion of the program.

The Election of the BUBT Textile Club will be held on May 14, 2026, via the online platform. All eligible members are invited and encouraged to participate and cast their votes to help shape the future leadership of the club.

The students of the Department of Textile Engineering visited the university library along with their Intake In-Charge as part of their academic orientation activities.

BUBT Library houses a vast collection of resourceful books, journals, research publications, and other academic resources that support learning, research, and professional development. To ensure that the students build a strong academic foundation and become familiar with the available learning facilities, they were introduced to the library environment, access systems, and various academic services.

This initiative aims to encourage students to develop effective study habits, enhance their knowledge base, and make the best use of the valuable resources available throughout their academic journey at BUBT.

The Department of Textile Engineering, Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), extends its sincere congratulations to Shadman Ahmed Khan, Assistant Professor; Naeem Ahmmed, Lecturer; and Abdullah Ibn Asheque, Lecturer, on the successful publication of their research article titled “Optimized Bombax Ceiba/Jute Hybrid Epoxy Composites for Enhanced Thermal Insulation Performance” in the esteemed Q2, Scopus-indexed journal Materials Research Express.

The Department also conveys special appreciation to Md. Tanvir Hossain (Faculty Member on Study Leave), along with the students of Textile Engineering—Md. Abdul Kader, Md. Sohel Rana, and Sakib Masud—for their valuable contributions and dedicated efforts toward the successful completion of this research work.

This notable accomplishment exemplifies their academic excellence, dedication, and sustained commitment to advancing research in the fields of composite materials and textile engineering. The Department of Textile Engineering consistently fosters and supports research initiatives undertaken by both students and faculty members.

The Department of Textile Engineering proudly congratulates Cadet Corporal Mahmud Ahsan, a student of 39th intake.

As a dedicated student, he has proven himself to be a sincere, disciplined, and capable member of the BUBT BNCC Platoon through his hard work and commitment.

We are pleased to share that he had the honor of speaking as a Guest Speaker at a recent seminar on “Eve-Teasing: Consequences and Remedies.”
