As you are aware, Bangladesh, like many other countries, is facing the threat of terrorism. The terror attack against the Holley Bakery Restaurant last 1st July is considered as a game changer.

As for all of us, it means more vigilance in our daily life in Bangladesh, which remains an important business partner for France : France imported from Bangladesh 1.7 Bn USD, mainly RMG products, last year.

Towards French business travelers to Bangladesh, the Embassy of France to Bangladesh updated our traveler advice : http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/conseils-aux-voyageurs/conseils-par-pays/bangladesh/

Here in Bangladesh, measures have also been taken in order to make your visits to Bangladesh safe.

I visited today (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) President, Mr Siddiqur Rahman, who sent a letter to Foreign RMG Business companies partners to Bangladesh a few days ago.

BGMEA is available to mobilize the industrial police for escorts from the airport to your destination, and during factory visits.
If you wish to benefit from this service, it can be availed with 48 hours’ notice before arrival to Bangladesh.
