The Mohammadpur Government College Debating Society (MGCDS) is pleased to announce that registration for new members from Batch 27 is now open. The Batch 26 students can join as well!

ভাষা শুধু কথার বাহন নয়, এটি চিন্তার শক্তি, যুক্তির হাতিয়ার। ১৯৫২ সালের ২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারি সেই শক্তির জন্য প্রাণ দিয়েছেন সালাম, রফিক, বরকত, জব্বারসহ নাম না জানা আরও অনেকে। তাদের আত্মত্যাগের কারণেই আজ আমরা মাতৃভাষায় নিজেদের ভাব প্রকাশ করতে পারি, যুক্তি-তর্কের মাধ্যমে সত্যের সন্ধান করতে পারি।

বিতর্ক কেবল যুক্তির খেলা নয়, এটি চিন্তার মুক্তি। আর সে চিন্তার প্রকৃত বিকাশ ঘটে তখনই, যখন আমরা মাতৃভাষায় তা তুলে ধরতে পারি। ভাষার মর্যাদা রক্ষা করতে হলে এর সঠিক চর্চা নিশ্চিত করতেই হবে, বিশেষ করে যুক্তিবিদ্যা ও মননশীলতার জগতে।

আসুন, আমরা বাংলা ভাষায় বুদ্ধিবৃত্তিক চর্চাকে আরও সমৃদ্ধ করি, মাতৃভাষার শক্তিতে যুক্তির আলো ছড়াই। আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবসে সকল ভাষা শহীদের প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা।

As a non-political organization, we are profoundly saddened by the tragic losses incurred during the recent quota reform protests in Bangladesh. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families of those who lost their lives, and we extend our hopes for a full and speedy recovery to those who were injured.

We uphold the right to peaceful protest and strongly condemn the violence perpetrated against demonstrators. Our solidarity lies with all Bangladeshi students striving for a more just and equitable system. We earnestly hope for a swift and peaceful resolution to this grave situation.
