Did you know there are sequels to films that people think completely outshone the first film?
There is something beautiful about sequels finally realizing what the first film was trying to become. Some sequels do not just continue the story. They completely outgrow the original.
The best sequels usually happen when creators stop asking
“Will people like this?”
And start asking
“What if we make this unforgettable?”
The first film builds confidence. The sequel uses it. That is why the second films sometimes outshine the originals. The creators are less nervous now. More confident. More ambitious. Slightly weirder too. And audiences can always feel that.
The details for each comparison are on the slides. Please click through to read them.

If the world were a carefully framed film, women would undoubtedly be the ones writing the best lines, directing the bravest scenes, and keeping the story moving forward.
Happy International Women’s Day.
