ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইসলামের ইতিহাস ও সংস্কৃতি বিভাগের ২০২১–২২ সেশনের মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থী এবং আইএইচসি ক্যারিয়ার ক্লাবের জয়েন্ট জেনারেল সেক্রেটারি "মো. হাবিবুর রহমান শুভ" বর্তমানে জীবন-মৃত্যুর সন্ধিক্ষণে লড়াই করছেন।

শুভ অত্যন্ত নম্র, ভদ্র ও আন্তরিক ছেলে। দীর্ঘদিন ধরেই সে বিভিন্ন শারীরিক সমস্যায় ভুগছিল, কিন্তু কোনো নির্দিষ্ট রোগ শনাক্ত করা সম্ভব হচ্ছিল না। অবশেষে গত জুন মাসে একাধিক পরীক্ষা-নিরীক্ষার পর তাঁর সিস্টেমিক লুপাস ইরিথেমেটোসাস (SLE) রোগ ধরা পড়ে।

এসএলই (SLE) একটি জটিল ও দীর্ঘস্থায়ী অটোইমিউন রোগ। এ রোগে শরীরের রোগ প্রতিরোধ ব্যবস্থা ভুলবশত নিজের সুস্থ কোষ ও অঙ্গ-প্রত্যঙ্গের ওপরই আক্রমণ করে। এর ফলে ত্বক, জয়েন্ট, কিডনি, রক্তকণিকা, হৃদ্‌যন্ত্র, ফুসফুসসহ শরীরের বিভিন্ন অঙ্গে মারাত্মক প্রদাহ ও ক্ষতি হতে পারে। চিকিৎসকদের তথ্য অনুযায়ী, শুভর ক্ষেত্রে মস্তিষ্ক ছাড়া শরীরের প্রায় সব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অঙ্গই এসএলই দ্বারা আক্রান্ত হয়েছে।

বর্তমানে শুভ ন্যাশনাল ইনস্টিটিউট অব কিডনি ডিজিজেস অ্যান্ড ইউরোলজি (NIKDU)-এর আইসিইউতে চার দিন ধরে চিকিৎসাধীন রয়েছে।

শুভ তাঁর বাবা-মায়ের একমাত্র সন্তান। তাঁর মা দীর্ঘদিন ধরে অসুস্থ। বাবা এলাকার একটি ছোট ব্যবসার মাধ্যমে পরিবারের জীবিকা নির্বাহ করেন এবং বর্তমানে ছেলের চিকিৎসার জন্য হাসপাতালেই অবস্থান করছেন।

শুভর চিকিৎসায় প্রতিদিন প্রায় ৪০–৫০ হাজার টাকা ব্যয় হচ্ছে, যা তাঁর পরিবারের পক্ষে বহন করা অত্যন্ত কঠিন। তাই এই কঠিন সময়ে আমাদের সবার উচিত নিজ নিজ সামর্থ্য অনুযায়ী তাঁর পাশে দাঁড়ানো। আমাদের সামান্য সহযোগিতাও একটি পরিবারের জন্য অনেক বড় আশার আলো হয়ে উঠতে পারে।

আসুন, আমরা সবাই শুভর দ্রুত সুস্থতার জন্য দোয়া করি এবং যার যতটুকু সামর্থ্য আছে, তা দিয়ে তাঁর চিকিৎসায় সহযোগিতার হাত বাড়িয়ে দিই।

Today, the IHC Career Club successfully hosted an insightful and engaging IELTS Workshop filled with learning, interaction and inspiration.

We sincerely thank our respected mentor 'Maruf Hassan' for sharing valuable guidance and practical strategies to help participants move one step closer to their academic and career goals. We are also grateful to all the participants whose enthusiasm and active participation made the session truly meaningful.

সদস্যরা এদিন ক্লাব মডারেটর স্যারকে ফুলেল শুভেচ্ছা জানায়। পরবর্তীতে ক্লাবের নিয়মিত কার্যক্রমের অংশ হিসেবে ইসলামের ইতিহাস ও সংস্কৃতি বিভাগের ২০২৫-২০২৬ ব্যাচের নবাগত শিক্ষার্থীদের সাথে সাক্ষাৎ বিনিময় করে স্যার তাদেরকে বিভিন্ন ক্যারিয়ার দিকনির্দেশনা ও ক্লাবে অংশগ্রহণের উৎসাহ প্রদান করে। এইসময় নবীনদের উদ্দেশ্য আরো বক্তব্য রাখেন আইএইচসি ক্যারিয়ার ক্লাবের বর্তমান সভাপতি 'নাদির জাহান খান', সাধারণ সম্পাদক 'জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌস বর্না' এবং ক্লাবের কার্যনির্বাহী সদস্যরা।
