The BRAC Institute of Languages (BIL), proudly celebrates the achievement of 𝐌𝐬. 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐦 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐲, Senior Lecturer, who received the 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧) award from the Stream of Literature and Language at the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐈𝐂𝐂𝐓𝐀𝐒𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓). The conference was held on December 11–12, 2025, at American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB).

Hands-on session on quantitative data analysis is arranged for the Research Methods course titled TSL509 this week.

Students conduct a mini research, collecting and analysing real data, for this course. A good number of these students are presenting their research at 3 different conferences this November-December season.

TSL509 is a pre-requisite to the TSL510: Dissertation course, and hence, is tailored in a way to ease the thesis writing experience of these novice researchers.

Congratulations to our current students, recent graduates and alumni of the MA in TESOL program on presenting their research and participating as panelist to a roundtable discussion at the TESOL BD-DIU International Conference 2025 on 5 and 6 December 2025!

While current students presented their research completed as projects for various theory courses and the Research Methods course, the recent graduates presented their MA-TESOL theses.

Alumnus Mahmooda Islam, English teacher at a renowned English medium school, joined a roundtable discussion on the theme "Reimagining Language Learning with AI in Bangladesh: A Collaborative Path for Students, Teachers, and Teacher Educators", highlighting challenges as prospects of using AI for students and teachers in the language classrooms.

We hope they will continue their journey as teachers, researchers and pursue desired career paths demonstrating clear vision, human values and ethical leadership.
