জাতিসংঘে ক্যারিয়ার গঠন বিশ্বের হাজারো মানুষের স্বপ্ন। এখানে অধিকতর মর্যাদা, প্রতি-পত্তি, প্রতিযোগিতামূলক সুযোগ-সুবিধা, বেতন-ভাতাদি, করমুক্ত আয় এবং আন্তর্জাতিক ক্যারিয়ার গঠনের সুযোগ রয়েছে।

এই প্রতিষ্ঠানটি একটি বৈশ্বিক ও বৈচিত্র্যময় কর্ম পরিবেশে জ্ঞান ও দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধির সুযোগ সৃষ্টি করে। জাতিসংঘ এমন একটি প্রতিষ্ঠান যেখানে ১৮-৮০ বছর বয়স পর্যন্ত কর্মক্ষম ব্যক্তির চাকুরী করার সুযোগ রয়েছে। যেখানে মহিলা কর্মীদের বিশেষভাবে ক্যারিয়ার গঠনে উৎসাহিত করা হয়।
তবে বেশ কয়েকটা কারণে জাতিসংঘে ক্যারিয়ার গঠন খানিকটা কঠিন বলে মনে করা হয়, যেমন ভাষার দক্ষতা, নির্দিষ্ট অভিজ্ঞতা, উচ্চ প্রতিযোগিতা এবং একটি কঠোর নির্বাচনী প্রক্রিয়া।

তাহলে জাতিসংঘে ক্যরিয়ার গঠন কি অসম্ভব?
না, ভয়ের কোন কারণ নেই! আজ কেবল মাত্র জাতিসংঘ সচিবালয়েই আপনার/আমার মত প্রায় ৩৬ হাজার এর বেশি কর্মী মর্যাদার সহিত কর্মরত রয়েছেন।

সেশনের উদ্দেশ্য:
১) জাতিসংঘে ক্যারিয়ার গঠনের সাথে সম্পর্কিত প্রয়োজনীয় কর্ম দক্ষতা, অভিজ্ঞতা, শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা, ভাষার দক্ষতা, দৃষ্টিভঙ্গির পরিবর্তন, গবেষনা রিসোর্সেস, টেকনিক্যাল সাপোর্ট এবং জাতিসংঘে কর্মরত পেশাদারদের সাথে নেটওয়ার্ক তৈরির কৌশল জানতে সহায়তা করা।
২) বাংলাদেশে জাতিসংঘে ক্যারিয়ার গঠনে ইচ্ছুক সম্ভাব্য সকল ছাত্রছাত্রী ও বিভিন্ন শ্রেনি-পেশার মানুষের মাঝে জাতিসংঘে ক্যারিয়ার গঠন সম্পর্কে নিয়মিত সচেতনতা সৃষ্টি করা।

A Day-long Training Course on ‘Recruitment & Selection Process in United Nations’.

UN recruitment is the process of identifying the job vacancy, analyzing the job requirements, reviewing applications, screening, shortlisting and selecting the right candidate. It is the process of finding and attracting the potential resources for filling up the vacant positions in the organization. It sources the candidates with the abilities and attitude, which are required for achieving the mandates of the United Nations.

This course will provide an overview of UN Recruitment process with the process flow covered from creation of Job opening requisition until the selection decision. Having worked for the UN for over a decade and being familiar with the UN values, processes, structures as well as communication guidelines, the course will provide expert advice on how to best prepare for an international career with the United Nations.
