IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture and Technology IUBAT was established in 1991 under the Private University Act 1992. The academic curriculum are approved by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh.

IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture and Technology is established in 1991 and approved by the Government of Bangladesh under the Non-Govt University Act 1992. The university began offering degree programs in 1992 in cooperation with Assumption University of Bangkok, Thailand. The university is a full member of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), London and 26 other regional academic and scholarly bodies around the globe.

The event was graced by the presence of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Abdur Rab; Controller of Examinations, Brig. Gen. Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain (Retd.); and Dr. Raton Kumar Nondy, Professor & Chair of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, along with faculty members and students, whose encouragement added great inspiration to the occasion.

The College of Agricultural Sciences (CAS), IUBAT, organized an educational study tour to the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Joydebpur, Gazipur, on 13 August 2026, providing BSAg students with valuable exposure to advanced agricultural research, technologies, and innovations.

Around 250 students and faculty members participated in the visit, engaging with BARI’s research activities, achievements, and modern agricultural technologies. The tour offered students an opportunity to connect classroom learning with practical knowledge and gain firsthand insights into the field of agricultural research.

The College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM), IUBAT, organized a seminar titled “Emerging Opportunities and Professional Trajectories in the Aviation and Hospitality Sectors,” bringing together industry experts to share insights into the evolving landscape of aviation, hospitality, and tourism.

The seminar featured Mr. Kazi Wahid ul Alam, Editor, The Bangladesh Monitor; Mr. T.
