1 year since one of the most adventurous events in the history of BMSCSG!

This time of year in 2023, the first Intra Group Camp of BMSCSG took place successfully. It was an adventurous and eventful weekend for all our scouts! We cherish all the memories we created in the camp.
We hope to be able to do more events like this soon.

Another successful indoor troop meeting amidst the monsoon.

Our proud scouts who returned safely from the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea shared their experience with the rest of the unit. They had a mesmerising experience and has spent an adventurous 14 days in South Korea with more than 43000 participants from 158 countries.
Their experience has greatly encouraged other scouts as we look forward to more participation of our scouts in international level activities.

An eventful afternoon for the group!

The BMSCSG held its first day of unit evaluation today. 57 scouts had participated in an evaluation done by former scouts of the unit. Evaluation was done based on the performance of the scouts and besides attendance.

The scouts also played a game called Kim's Game. It is a game that is played to exercise the five senses in which a selection of objects must be memorized and judged. Today we arranged few spices widely used for cooking for the game. The scouts had to identify each spice by tasting with their eyes covered. Everyone enjoyed the day very much.

Another successful day for the BMSCSG!
Along with the help of an amazing team of rover scouts from the Dhaka Zila Rover, we successfully vaccinated over 5000 students from 23 schools. Our team had worked flawlessly in the challenging process and successfully completed vaccination before the given deadline. The BMSCSG team consisted of 18 Scouts led by the SPLs and a team consisting of 4 members from 13th Hussars ORSG who are former members of BMSCSG. Our convener Dilara Arzu had given us clear instruction which further accelerated the process. Overall a very successful day.

This thursday, the weekly troop meeting was conducted online by our SPL Farhan Hasin, with the presence of the Co-ordinator of BMSCSG Muhammad Yahya . The meeting was held on zoom over the internet for the safety of the scouts due to the rapid spread of the Omicron Variant of Covid-19 in the country. The SPL had discussed about various topics including Camping, The staging of scouts and other basics. About 50 were present.

Bright day, bright start.
After passing the stress of the final examinations, the scouts finally got the chance to escape from all the exhaustions as on 2nd December, 2021, the first troop meeting of the last month of this year was held. The day begun with the command of Unit 02 leader Farhan Hasin taking permission to start the troop meeting. The 5 members of the 13th Hussers Rover Support Team were present supervising the whole troop meeting. All the consecutive steps were then done nicely. The patrol leaders reported the presence of 65 scouts along with the ensurity of their good health. The freshers were taught the basics of first aid by the unit leaders. All the scouts were then commanded to get divided as per their units. Each unit played different famous games. Unit 1 played 10-20(১০-২০), a game played through clapping one another hands. The count goes from 10 to 100, where each person getting clapped at 100 gets eliminated.
On the other side, Unit 2 played a famous local game called Shat Chara(সাত চারা) which is basically a ball throwing game. 7 stones are kept as targets and balls are thrown by different players each of the player getting one chance. The person hitting highest number of stones wins.
As for unit 3, they played Red Light Green Light from the Netflix Series Squid Game, locally also known as Alon Ti Lonthon(এলন্টি লণ্ঠন).
All the scouts enjoyed the day and lastly again gathered to end the troop meeting with a learning of friendship and brotherhood from the hours of the meeting. Thus the day ended with happiness, positivity and prosperity.
