IQAC, Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) organized a thought-provoking seminar titled “How to Build a Globally Leading University: Insights, Strategies and Visions for the Future of Higher Education” with the support of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) on Tuesday, 28 July 2026.

The Vice Chancellor of Northern University Bangladesh, Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, attended the seminar as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Terry Alford, Professor and Associate Director at Arizona State University (ASU), USA, delivered the keynote address.

Professor Alford shared valuable insights on academic excellence, research and innovation, industry collaboration, interdisciplinary education, and global engagement. He also highlighted the growing importance of the semiconductor industry and emphasized the role of universities in preparing skilled graduates for a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

The seminar reflected NUB’s continued commitment to academic excellence, quality enhancement, research, innovation, international engagement, and preparing students for the evolving global knowledge economy.

NUB CSE Team AquaGuard Wins Champion Title at the WSDG Challenge!

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Northern University Bangladesh (NUB), proudly celebrates Team AquaGuard for being named Champion in the Environment Science and Sustainability category at the World Sustainable Development Goals (WSDG) Challenge. The competition was jointly organized by Robotech Valley, the University of Dhaka, and the Malaysia Young Scientists Organization (MYSO), bringing together innovative projects from universities and young researchers.
