THE RISE OF THE SUN OF BANGLADESH:
The Nobel Laureate Professor Yunus
The only global celebrity born among the Bengali community in recent years is Professor Muhammad Yunus. Even 90% of Bengalis lack the ability to comprehend the magnitude of his personality. It will take another 30 to 40 years for Bengalis to understand what kind of person Professor Yunus truly is.
The Nobel Laureate Professor Yunus is one identity among many. The three most prestigious awards in the world are:
1. Nobel Prize.
2. American Presidential Medal of Freedom.
3. Congressional Gold Medal.
In history, only 12 people have received all three of these awards, and Professor Yunus is one of them.
Messi is one of the biggest stars in the world today, and he literally stood in line to take a photo with Professor Yunus.
The largest and most prestigious competition in the world is the Olympic Games. Wealthy countries spend billions to host the Olympics. The most honored guest (chief guest) at the opening ceremony of the Olympics is the Olympic torchbearer. Professor Yunus was the torchbearer for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Can you imagine that?
The main theme of the 2024 Paris Olympics is based on Professor Yunus's social business theory. On the title page of the Olympic Games website, which is a source of pride for the French, there is a photo of a brown Muslim, Dr. Yunus! Those who know a bit about the French will understand how unusual this is.
Professor Yunus's brainchild—microcredit, social business, and the "Three Zeros" theory—has been embraced by the global community. I do not believe that all three theories are necessarily good.
. However, the point is that the entire world has accepted them. Social business and the "Three Zeros" are indeed very beneficial theories, and there is no debate about that.
Currently, Professor Yunus would rank among the top five leading intellectuals alive today, with many placing him at number one. A Bengali Muslim being a leading scholar in the world has never happened in history, and no one knows when it will happen again.
It's a shame how some idiots treat Prof Yunus.
I apologize for not adding my opinion due to being somewhat busy, and I didn’t notice this. However, one thing I want to say is that “nature does its work on its own time; no one has any control over it.” I have learned and understood many things through some light research, but even though I have the ability to explain to you, I am unwilling to express it. So, everyone will consciously understand all matters when the time comes. InshaAllah, I hope for something good.
বাঙ্গালী জনগোষ্ঠীর মধ্যে মোটামুটি গত কয়েক বছরে জন্ম নেওয়া একমাত্র গ্লোবাল সেলিব্রেটি হলেন প্রফেসর মোহাম্মদ ইউনুস। তিনি কত বড় মাপের ব্যক্তিত্ব সেটা বোঝার ক্ষমতাও ৯০ ভাগ বাঙ্গালীর নাই। বাঙ্গালীর আরো ৩০/৪০ বছর লাগবে প্রফেসর ইউনুস কোন মাপের মানুষ এটা বুঝতে।
নোবেল লরিয়েট প্রফেসর ইউনুসের একটা পরিচয়, সব না। পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে সম্মানজনক তিনটা পুরস্কার হল:
১। নোবেল।
২। অ্যামেরিকার প্রসিডেন্সিয়াল এওয়ার্ড।
৩। মার্কিন কংগ্রেশনাল এওয়ার্ড।
ইতিহাসে এই তিনটা পুরস্কারই পেয়েছেন এমন মানুষ মাত্র ১২ জন। তার মধ্যে প্রফেসর ইউনুস একজন।
মেসি হলেন বর্তমান পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে বড় তারকার একজন, আক্ষরিক ভাবেই মেসি লাইনে দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন প্রফেসর ইউনুসের সাথে ছবি তুলতে।
বিশ্বের সর্ববৃহৎ এবং সর্বোচ্চ সম্মানজনক প্রতিযোগিতা হল আলিম্পক গেমস। ধনী দেশগুলো হাজার হাজার কোটি টাকা খরচ করে অলিম্পিকের হোস্ট হতে। আলিম্পক গেমসের উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানের সবচেয়ে সম্মানিত মেহমান হলেন (প্রধান অতিথি) আলিম্পক মশাল বাহক। ২০২০ সালের জাপান আলিম্পকের মশাল বাহক ছিলেন প্রফেসর ইউনুস। ভাবা যায়!?
২০২৪ সালের প্যারিস অলিম্পিকের মূল থিম করা হয়েছে প্রফেসর ইউনুসের সামাজিক ব্যবসা তত্ত্বের উপর ভিত্তি করে। ফ্রেঞ্চদের মত নাকউঁচু জাতির গর্বের অলিম্পিক গেমসের ওয়েবসাইটের টাইটেল পেজে একজন ব্রাউন মুসলমান ড. ইউনুসের ছবি!! ফ্রেঞ্চদের সম্পর্কে যারা টুকটাক খবর রাখেন তারা বুঝবেন ব্যাপারটা কতটা আনইউজুয়াল।
প্রফেসর ইউনুসের ব্রেইন চাইল্ড ক্ষুদ্র ঋন, সামাজিক ব্যবসা, এবং থ্রি জিরো, এই তিনটি তত্ত্বই গ্লোবাল কমিউনিটি গ্রহন করেছে। এই তিনটা তত্ত্বের তিনটাই যে খুব ভাল, আমি এমনটা মনে করি না।
#যেকোন_সুদ_ভিত্তিক_পদ্ধতি_ভাল_হতে_পারে_না। তবে পয়েন্ট হল সারাবিশ্ব এটাকে গ্রহন করেছে। সামাজিক ব্যবসা এবং থ্রি জিরো— এই দুইটা খুবই জনহিতকর তত্ত্ব, এটা নিয়ে বিতর্ক নেই।
বর্তমানে জীবিত লিডিং ইন্টালেকচুয়ালের যেকোন তালিকাতে প্রফেসর ইউনুস টপ ৫ এর মধ্যে থাকবেন। অনেকে তাকে ১ নম্বরে রাখবে। একজন বাঙ্গালী মুসলমান দুনিয়ার লিডিং স্কলার, এটা ইতিহাসে কখনো ঘটে নাই। আবার কবে হবে কেউ জানে না।
প্রফেসর ইউনুসের সাথে কিছু মূর্খ যে আচরণ করে এটা লজ্জাজনক।
