বাংলাদেশ ইনস্টিটিউট অব ইসলামিক ফাইন্যান্স (বিআইআইএফ) ও ন্যাশনাল ক্রেডিট অ্যান্ড কমার্স ব্যাংক পিএলসি (এনসিসি ব্যাংক) এর যৌথ আয়োজনে ছয় দিনব্যাপী প্রফেশনাল সার্টিফিকেট ইন ইসলামিক ব্যাংকিং (পিসিআইবি) এর ১৪ তম ব্যাচের উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠান সম্পন্ন হয়েছে। রাজধানীর মতিঝিলে বিআইআইএফ ট্রেনিং হলে শনিবার (২ মে হতে ৭ মে) বিআইআইএফ’র প্রতিষ্ঠাতা পরিচালক অধ্যাপক ড. এম আবদুল আজিজ এর সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠানে লংকা বাংলা ফিন্যান্স পিএলসির ম্যানেজিং ডিরেক্টর মিসেস হুমায়রা আজম প্রধান অতিথি এবং এনসিসি ব্যাংক পিএলসি’র ইভিপি ও ইসলামিক ব্যাংকিং বিভাগের প্রধান এ কিউ এম ছফিউল্লাহ আরিফ বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন। স্বাগত বক্তব্য দেন বিআইআইএফ’র সহকারী অধ্যাপক ও একাডেমিক কো-অর্ডিনেটর ড. কে এম জাকির হোসাইন সেলিম এবং সঞ্চালনা করেন বিআইআইএফ’র সিনিয়র সহকারী পরিচালক মুহাম্মদ লোকমান হোসাইন।

প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে হুমায়রা আজম বলেন, বিশ্বব্যাপী অর্থনৈতিক মন্দা, মানবিক মূল্যবোধের চরম অবঃক্ষয় ও প্রাশ্চাত্যের ভোগবাদী দৃষ্টিভঙ্গীর এ যুগে ইসলামী আদর্শের আলোকে জীবন পরিচালনা করা খুবই চ্যালেঞ্জিং বিষয়। এ অবস্থায় বাংলাদেশে ইসলামী ব্যাংকিং খাত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রেখে যাচ্ছে। শুধু সুদমুক্ত ব্যাংকিং এর কারণে নয়, ইসলামী ব্যাংকিং সামাজিক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি থেকেও প্রশংসিত হচ্ছে। এ খাতে প্রশিক্ষিত ও দক্ষ মানবসম্পদের বিদ্যমান ঘাটতি দূরীকরণে বিআইআইএফ’র এই প্রশিক্ষণমূলক কর্মসূচি খুবই সময়োপযুগী উদ্যোগ। আমরা যদি দেশের ব্যাংকিং খাতকে এগিয়ে নিতে চাই- তাহলে যোগ্যতাসম্পন্ন একদল চৌকস ব্যাংকার আবশ্যক। টেকসই উন্নয়ন করতে হলে ব্যাংকিং খাতকে আরো সময়োপযোগী করতে হবে। সুদমুক্ত ব্যাংকিং শুধু মুসলমানের জন্য নয়, এটি শুধু ধর্মীয় ব্যাপার নয়- দারিদ্র বিমোচন, কর্মসংস্থান সৃষ্টি ও আর্থিক গতিশীলতা তৈরিতেও এটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। ইসলামী ব্যাংক পরিচালনায় কেবল মুনাফা অর্জন নয়, প্রয়োজন কমিটমেন্ট, ডেডিকেশন এবং ইসলামী অর্থনীতির যথার্থ জ্ঞান। ইসলামী ব্যাংকিং খাতে আরো মনোযোগ দেয়ার সময় এখনই। বিআইআইএফ এক্ষেত্রে অগ্রণী ভূমিকা রেখে যাচ্ছে এবং ভবিষ্যতেও রাখবে বলে আমি আশা করছি।’

সভাপতির বক্তব্যে অধ্যাপক ড. এম. আবদুল আজিজ বলেন, ‘বিআইআইএফ একটি স্বাধীন প্রতিষ্ঠান হিসেবে ইসলামী ব্যাংকিং, ফাইন্যান্স ও ব্যবসা পেশাজীবীদের পেশাগত দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধিতে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। জ্ঞান, দক্ষতা ও মূল্যবোধের সমন্বয়ে বিশ্বমানের পূর্ণাঙ্গ মানবসম্পদ তৈরির উদ্দেশ্যে পলিসি রিসার্চসহ বিভিন্ন গবেষণা, প্রকাশনা, প্রশিক্ষণ ও কনসালটেন্সি কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করছে। বিআইআইএফ’র প্রশিক্ষণকেন্দ্রের সাথে রয়েছে সমৃদ্ধ লাইব্রেরি ও রিসোর্চ সেন্টার। একাডেমিয়ার সাথে ফাইন্যান্স ইন্ডাস্ট্রির সমন্বয় সাধন ও সহযোগিতা বৃদ্ধি পেলে ইসলামী ব্যাংকিং খাত দেশের অর্থনৈতিক উন্নয়নে আরো গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখতে সক্ষম হবে। ভবিষ্যতের চ্যালেঞ্জ যথাযথভাবে মোকাবেলা করতে পারলে এ দেশে ইসলামিক ব্যাংকিং ও ফাইন্যান্স খাতের আরো অগ্রগতির অপরিমেয় সুযোগ রয়েছে।’

উল্লেখ্য, প্রশিক্ষণ কোর্সটিতে ইসলামী অর্থনীতি, শরিয়াভিত্তিক ব্যাংকিং কাঠামো, শরিয়াহ চুক্তি, ইসলামিক মানি মার্কেট, ঝুঁকি ব্যবস্থাপনা, রেগুলেটরি ফ্রেমওয়ার্কসহ ২৪টি সেশন অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। প্রশিক্ষক হিসেবে ছিলেন দেশের বিশিষ্ট ব্যাংকার, অর্থনীতিবিদ ও বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের বর্তমান ও সাবেক কর্মকর্তারা। এই প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মসূচি ইনস্টিটিউট অব ইসলামিক ব্যাংকিং অ্যান্ড ইন্স্যুরেন্স (আইআইবিআই), যুক্তরাজ্য কর্তৃক স্বীকৃত প্রাপ্ত। এটি ইসলামী ব্যাংকিং পেশাজীবীদের জন্য একটি আন্তর্জাতিক মানসম্পন্ন প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মসূচি হিসেবে বিবেচিত হচ্ছে।

Closing Ceremony of BIIF–NCC Bank Training Course (10th Batch) on Professional Certificate in Islamic Banking Held at BIIF

The Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Finance (BIIF) successfully organized the Closing Ceremony of the BIIF–NCC Bank Training Course (10th Batch) on the Professional Certificate in Islamic Banking (PCIB) at the BIIF Training Hall.

The event was graced by Professor Dr. M. Abdul Aziz, Director General of the Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT), Founder Director of BIIF, and Adjunct Professor at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), who attended as the Chief Guest. In his remarks, he emphasized the need for enhancing professional competence in Shariah-based banking to meet the growing demands of the Islamic finance sector.

Md. Abdullah Sharif, First Vice President & Head of Shariah, City Bank PLC, and Former Secretary General of the Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh (CSBIB), joined the ceremony as the Special Guest. He highlighted the significance of Shariah governance and continuous capacity building for industry professionals.

The program began with a warm Welcoming Address by Dr. K. M. Zakir Hossain Shalim, Academic Coordinator & Faculty of BIIF, who expressed BIIF’s commitment to delivering high-quality professional training in Islamic banking and finance.

The ceremony was moderated by Md. Golam Martoza, Assistant Director, BIIF, ensuring smooth and engaging proceedings.
The session commenced with a heartfelt recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Md. Monjurul Alam Siddiqui of NCC Bank PLC.
