গাজায় সংঘটিত গণহত্যা ও মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধের বিরুদ্ধে বৈশ্বিক প্রতিবাদের অংশ হিসেবে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মার্কেটিং বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীরা মনে করে, আমাদের নৈতিক দায়িত্ব হলো এর বিরুদ্ধে সোচ্চার হওয়া। আগামী ৭ এপ্রিল ২০২৫, "The World Stops for Gaza" কর্মসূচির প্রতি সংহতি জানিয়ে মার্কেটিং বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীরা ঘোষণা দিচ্ছে যে, ওই দিন বিভাগের সকল ক্লাস ও পরীক্ষার বর্জন করা হবে এবং প্রতিবাদ সমাবেশে যোগ দেয়া হবে।

ধর্ষণ ও যৌন হয়রানির বিরুদ্ধে আমাদের দৃঢ় অবস্থান জানিয়ে, দোষীদের কঠোর ও দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তি নিশ্চিত না হওয়া পর্যন্ত মার্কেটিং বিভাগের ২৬তম ব্যাচ সব ধরনের ক্লাস ও পরীক্ষা বর্জনের ঘোষণা দিচ্ছে। নারী নির্যাতন, হয়রানি ও ধর্ষণের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর আইন প্রয়োগ এবং অপরাধীদের দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তি নিশ্চিত করাই হবে একটি ন্যায়বিচারমূলক সমাজ গঠনের প্রথম ধাপ। আমরা বিশ্বাস করি, নিরাপদ সমাজ গড়ে তোলার জন্য শুধু নিন্দা জানানো নয়, কার্যকর পদক্ষেপ নেওয়াই সবচেয়ে জরুরি। নারীর নিরাপত্তা ও ন্যায়বিচারের প্রশ্নে আমরা কোনো ধরনের আপোস করব না।
