On June 5, 2008, under the visionary supervision of the Armed Forces of Bangladesh, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) emerged as the 31st public university of the country, nestled in the heart of Mirpur Cantonment across 56 acres of greenery and modern infrastructure.

With the motto "Excellence Through Knowledge," BUP has rapidly grown into one of the leading universities of Bangladesh. Today, 56 affiliated institutions operate under BUP, providing quality education in health, technology, and specialized disciplines.

BUP students are not only excelling academically but are also making remarkable contributions in BCS, the corporate sector, entrepreneurship, research, and international arenas.

From its inception, BUP has maintained a safe, disciplined, and politics-free campus, creating an environment where students can focus on learning, leadership, and personal growth.

Under the dynamic leadership of the Honorable Vice Chancellor, BUP is now entering a new era of transformation. The university has significantly reduced semester fees by 55%, making quality higher education more accessible than ever.

Alongside this, the development of the new West Campus, an international-standard central library, a modern bridge connecting key areas of the campus, and a 2,000-seat student hall reflects BUP’s commitment to building a world-class academic environment.

As BUP celebrates its 18th Rising Day on June 5, 2026, the university stands at a new height of excellence and innovation. Thousands of dreamers walk these grounds every day, while each admission seat continues to be fiercely contested by aspiring students from across the country.

Without a doubt, BUP stands proudly among the finest universities in Bangladesh. In Sha Allah, the name of BUP will continue to resonate not only nationally but across the globe.
