International Mother Language Day (IMLD) is a worldwide annual observance held on 21 February to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and to promote multilingualism.

The idea to celebrate International Mother Language Day was the initiative of Bangladesh.

21 February is the anniversary of the day when Bangladeshis fought for recognition for the Bengali language.

CISA (Canadian University of Bangladesh International Student Affairs) is proudly introducing Mr. Johnsheen Froyed Alzate Marzan, from , just got admitted in flagship programme and Mr. Elamin Muaz Hussein, also an from who just landed all the way from his country to get his advising done in the one of the most dynamic, vibrant and technically advanced, Department.

Mr. Waki T. Chaudhury, , is focusing to build a platform in cross border education to make CUB as a global education village with the active support of Dr. MD Shahrukh Adnan Khan, FERC, Associate Professor and (Acting), School of , Head of , Director of Innovation and Commercialization Center and Dr. Mamoon Al Bashir, Director of /EMBA and International Affairs. Shoshi Rahman Antora and Sultana Tania Anne both the officers, from the department were also present during the handover of the souvenir.
