Happy International Mother Tongue Day

With profound respect and heartfelt love, we remember and honor all the martyrs of language.

21 February stands as a historic day of courage and sacrifice. On this day in 1952, our brave sons laid down their lives to uphold the dignity of our mother tongue, Bangla. Through their supreme sacrifice, we earned the fundamental right to speak in our own language, a right written in blood and courage.

Let us come together to love, practice, preserve, and pass on the richness and glory of our mother tongue to future generations. May Bangla continue to inspire our thoughts, culture, and identity.

🖤 We pray for eternal peace and forgiveness for the souls of the language martyrs.

Heroes never truly die; they live on through the thunderous echoes of their convictions. Sharif Osman Bin Hadi remains a frontline beacon of the July 2024 movement—a soul whose simple life was a testament to his high ideals of sovereignty and justice.

​Though assassins' bullets seek to silence him, they can never erase the vision he bled for. His week-long struggle between life and death serves as a final lesson in resilience, reminding us that while a person can be martyred, an idea is immortal. He fearlessly stood against Indian hegemony and fascism, his voice continues to inspire every heart that beats for a beautiful, just Bangladesh.

Presented by AKS English Language Club

On this day, 5 August 2024, the people of Bangladesh—led by the youth—stood united for truth, justice, and democracy. It was not just a protest, but a revolution of conscience, where voices rose against oppression, and history was rewritten by the courage of students and citizens.

From classrooms to the capital, from silence to slogans—the movement reminded us that freedom is earned through unity, and change begins with courage.

Today, we, the members of AKS CELC, remember the sacrifices, honor the bravery, and celebrate the hope that was born on this day. Let this be a reminder that the power of words and the strength of unity can shape the future of a nation.
