Heartiest congratulations to Tasmia Islam, intake 48, an active member of Centre for Legal Research - CLR, Department of Law and Justice, BUBT for participating in the 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐈𝐔𝐁 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐰 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬' 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 which was held on 7th - 8 th May 2026. Students from different universities across the country submitted their research papers and 40 papers were selected.The title of the Research paper was “𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓔𝔁𝓹𝓵𝓸𝓼𝓲𝓿𝓮 𝓢𝓾𝓫𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓮𝓼 𝓐𝓬𝓽 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓒𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓻-𝓣𝓮𝓻𝓻𝓸𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓶 𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓮𝓷𝓰𝓮𝓼 𝓲𝓷 𝓑𝓪𝓷𝓰𝓵𝓪𝓭𝓮𝓼𝓱: 𝓐 𝓛𝓮𝓰𝓪𝓵 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓟𝓸𝓵𝓲𝓬𝔂 𝓐𝓷𝓪𝓵𝔂𝓼𝓲𝓼,”

The Department of Law and Justice, BUBT, in collaboration with the Centre for Legal Research (CLR), is organizing a session titled “From CLOS to Question Paper: Applying Bloom’s Taxonomy in Assessment Design.”

The “Centre for Legal Research (CLR)” of the Department of Law and Justice, BUBT organised a session on: Exploring the Foundation of Legal Research: Methods, Tools and Applications at 11 AM in the Moot Court Room (B1-502) on Tuesday, 25th November, 2025.
Prof. Dr. Syed Sarfaraj Hamid, Dean, Faculty of Law and Director, Centre for Legal Research, BUBT gave vote of thanks to our guest speaker.The inaugural speech was delivered by Ariful Islam,Chairman, Department of Law and Justice, BUBT.The session was anchored by Md. Mostafizur Rahman Limon Sarker, Moderator,Centre for Legal Research & Lecturer, Department of Law and Justice, BUBT.

The distinguished guest speaker Md. Asaduzzaman (Newton), Head of the Department, Department of Law and Justice, JKKNIU conducted the session.This will help the students to participate vigorously in Legal arena in the approaching days.

A seminar on “Exploring the Foundations of Legal Research: Methods, Tools and Applications” will be held on 25 November 2025, 11.00 AM at Room B-1/502 (Moot Court) in the Department of Law and Justice,BUBT. Nurshalin Islam Shifat and Tasmia Islam from Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) participated in the '1st IUB Undergraduate Law Students' Research Conference 2024', organized by the Independent University Bangladesh on 24-25 May 2024. Among 72 papers submitted by students from various public and private universities of Bangladesh, their paper was selected in the top 40. Moreover, the research paper submitted by Nurshalin Islam Shifat was awarded the 'Outstanding Paper Award' and secured a place as one of the top five papers.

The second session of "𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑳𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝑳𝒂𝒘𝒚𝒆𝒓: 𝑨 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒚 𝑩𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒑" was held today at the Department of Law and Justice, BUBT. Today's session was conducted by Ariful Islam, Assistant Professor, Department of Law and Justice. The discussion focused on how to search for case laws for research matters and introduced participants to various prominent law journals and how to properly utilize them. Students actively participated to make the workshop successful.

The first session of "𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝑳𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝑳𝒂𝒘𝒚𝒆𝒓: 𝑨 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒚 𝑩𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒑" was held today at the Department of Law and Justice, BUBT. The workshop session was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Syed Sarfaraj Hamid, Dean and Chairman of the Department of Law and Justice. The session was conducted by Dr. Md. Milan Hossain, Associate Professor, Department of Law and Justice. The participants actively engaged in the interactive session on Case Studies.

The second session of the workshop will be held on 8 February 2024.
