North South University to Study Abroad: North South University (NSU) is enhancing its global academic position by establishing over 300 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with universities, organizations, institutions, and corporations in over 30 countries. These agreements allow Bangladeshi students to access world-class education and research facilities. Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, vice chancellor of NSU, emphasizes the importance of partnerships for academic excellence and research innovation.
In China, NSU has established partnerships with seven universities and one corporate entity, including Yunnan University, Yunnan Radio and Television University, Hubei University, China Three Gorges University, and Communication University of China. The university's Office of External Affairs (OEA) bridges NSU and renowned global institutions, aiming to elevate the university's image and reputation locally and abroad.

Australia Awards Scholarships for study commencing in 2026 will open on 1 February 2025 and applicants are encouraged to check their eligibility before starting the application process. To be eligible, applicants must meet certain English language proficiency standards, with results valid as of 1 January 2026.
These standards include an IELTS (Academic) overall score of at least 6.5 with no band less than 6.0, a TOEFL internet-based test (iBT) score of at least 84, or a PTE Academic overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50.
Women, people with disabilities, and those from ethnic minorities are permitted to submit an overall IELTS score of at least 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score).

Bangladeshi students studying in the US have reached an all-time high, with over 17,000 enrolled in US institutions this year, marking a 26% increase from the previous academic year.
This growth has pushed Bangladesh from the 13th to the 8th largest sender of international students to the US. The US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the Institute of International Education jointly release the annual Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange. The US Embassy in Dhaka is celebrating International Education Week 2024 with virtual and in-person information sessions.
Bangladesh has reached an all-time high in higher education in the United States, with over 17,000 students enrolled in US institutions, according to the 2024 Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange. This marks a 26% increase in Bangladeshi student enrollment compared to the previous academic year, making Bangladesh the country with the second-highest overall growth in international student numbers in the US.
Over the past decade, the number of Bangladeshi students in the US has surged by over 250 percent. The Open Doors Report, jointly released by the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the Institute of International Education, tracks the number of international students at US universities and those enrolled in pre-academic intensive English programs. In 2023, the influx of international students contributed over $50 billion to the US economy and supported more than 368,000 jobs.
The US State Department reaffirmed its commitment to fostering international education and student exchange, underscoring its critical role in driving innovation, strengthening economic growth, enhancing diplomacy, and ensuring national security.

Bangladeshi undergraduate students aged 18-25 can apply for the Global UGRAD Program, a fully funded, non-degree academic exchange program.
The program aims to promote mutual understanding between the US and Bangladesh, enhance academic knowledge and professional skills, cultivate students' understanding of the US, facilitate social networks, and empower them to engage in civic life. Eligibility criteria include being at least 18 years old, enrolled in good academic standing, having at least one academic year remaining after May 2026, being able to communicate in English, and being committed to community service.
