*****IELTS Opinion Essay ******

এ ধরনের Openion Essay-তে প্রশ্নে যে মতামত দেয়া আছে আপনি এর সাথে একমত কি না তা জানতে চাওয়া হয়। কেউ কেউ এই ধরণের Essey-কে " Argumentative Essay" বলেন।

প্রশ্নগুলো করা হয় সাধারনত এরকমঃ

■ আপনি কি একমত? (Do you agree?)
■ আপনার কী ধারণা? (What do you think?)
■ আপনি কতোটা একমত? (To what extent do you agree?)
■ আপনি কতোটা একমত নাকি একমত নন? (To what extent do you agree or disagree?)
■ আপনার মতামত কী? (What is your opinion?)

এখন, আপনি যেকোনো একটি মতামত নিতে পারেন:
• একমত (Agree)
• একমত নই (Disagree)
• আংশিক একমত (Partial agreement)

ধরুণ প্রশ্নটি এমন হলোঃ
Some people think that only electric cars should be allowed on the road by 2040.
Do you agree?

"কিছু মানুষ মনে করেন যে ২০৪০ সালের মধ্যে রাস্তায় শুধু বৈদ্যুতিক গাড়ি চলবে। আপনি কি একমত?"

■ IELTS আপনাকে বলে না যে আপনি কোন ধরনের প্রবন্ধ পাবেন। আপনাকেই নির্দেশনা এবং কাজ দেখে প্রবন্ধের ধরন চিহ্নিত করতে হবে।

Opinion Essay-এর উত্তর লিখতে গিয়ে সবচেয়ে বড় যে ভুলটি করেন অনেকে তা হলো নিজের মতামত স্পষ্টভাবে না দেওয়া।
"this essay will show that..." লিখেই হয়তো আপনি এমন কিছু লিখলেন যা আপনার নিজের মতামতকে প্রকাশ করে না। আপনার মতামত পরিষ্কার হওয়া উচিত এবং পুরো লেখাটায় একই মতামত রাখতে হবে।

■ আরেকটি সমস্যা হলো যখন মানুষ স্পষ্ট মতামত না দিয়ে মাঝখানে অবস্থান নেন। একটি সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি মানে এই নয় যে আপনি উভয় পক্ষের সাথেই একমত। এটি “আলোচনা করো” (মানে discussion essay) টাইপের প্রবন্ধে না।

IELTS Speaking Part 2-এ সাফল্য পেতে হলে এই ৬ ধরনের টপিকে ভালো প্রস্তুতি নেওয়াটা খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

যারা এই পার্টে ভয় পান বা কনফিডেন্ট ফিল করেন না, তাদের জন্য সহজ টিপস—এই ৬ ক্যাটাগরি কভার করলেই আপনি থাকবেন এক ধাপ এগিয়ে!

🔹 Describe a Person – যেমন একজন বন্ধুর কথা, যিনি আপনার জীবনে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

🔹 Describe a Place – হতে পারে কোনো সুন্দর জায়গা যেখানে আপনি ঘুরতে গিয়েছিলেন।

🔹 Describe an Object – আপনার প্রিয় একটি জিনিস, যেটা আপনার অনেক স্মৃতি জড়িয়ে।

🔹 Describe an Event – আপনার জীবনের কোনো স্মরণীয় ঘটনা বা অনুষ্ঠান।

🔹 Describe an Activity – যেকোনো প্রিয় কাজ, যেমন বই পড়া, রান্না করা বা খেলা দেখা।

🔹 Describe Your Favorite – আপনার সবচেয়ে প্রিয় কিছু, সেটা খাবার, গান, মুভি বা মানুষ।

অনেকে জানতে চেয়েছেন, IELTS Writing Task - 1 এর জন্য Conclusion লিখবেন কি-না?

এক কথায় উত্তর- "না" ।

টাস্ক ১-এর জন্য আপনার একটি Overview থাকা দরকার, কিন্তু Conclusion নয়।

কেনো বললাম, "না"?

Task 1-এ, আপনাকে একটি গ্রাফ, চার্ট বা টেবিল থেকে তথ্য বিশ্লেষণ করে একটি "Report" লিখতে বলা হয়। আর রিপোর্টে ডেটার প্রধান বৈশিষ্ট্য এবং ট্রেন্ডগুলো তুলে ধরাই মূল উদ্দেশ্য। একটি ওভারভিউ বা সারসংক্ষেপ এই কাজটি করে, যা মূল তথ্যগুলো সংক্ষেপে উপস্থাপন করে।

উপসংহার সাধারণত একটি Essay-এর শেষ অংশে থাকে। যেমনটি তটাস্ক ২ এর ক্ষেত্রে লিখতে হয়। তাই, Task -1 এর ক্ষেত্রে Conclusion লেখা অপ্রয়োজনীয় এবং এটি আপনার স্কোর কমিয়ে দিতে পারে।
