Canvas for Career and Individual Development (CCID) Bangladesh has been working on a critical issue of professional development which is ‘Bridging the Gap between Academia & Industry in Bangladesh. Which is why large number of graduates remaining unemployed every year. Unemployed Rate in Bangladesh increased to 5.30 percent in 2020 from 4.20 percent in 2019. 66 percent of students graduating from collages affiliated with the National University are not getting jobs as per a recent survey. We have a resilient private sector which provides extensive amounts of Jobs that contributes to national GDP approximately 45.31 percent. However, there are a number of issues which are dragging Bangladesh backward. Due to this serious gap, students cannot prepare them for the future job and remain unemployed for an uncertain period after completing their education. This has a serious detrimental socio-economic impact.
