Vocabulary is such a critical thing when you need it you cannot recall; you cannot recall a word suitable to the situation you are writing about. This happens because you are not familiar enough with the word, or you have less frequently used it, or the word is not available in your realization.

It happens that you know a word, you can understand the meaning while reading but you cannot recall the same word while writing. Why? Here is a critical point: during reading you see the word in the text, but during writing you do not see the word before your eyes, everything you need is to recall from your memory.

Therefore, vocabulary learning and usage should be precise and specific.

Moreover, you can create vivid effect by vocabulary usage. For example, you know the following three words from your childhood: amazing, display, nature. Now use these three words such as “amazing display of nature”. This is a unique expression to describe a place. You can use it in place-description essays.

What if someone does well in mock and produces irrelevant writing in the exam hall? It is language test; you are measured linguistically. Style and tone of language application, varied sentence pattern, wide range of vocabulary, right choice of words, vivid adjectives etc. matter a lot here. Suppose you have done everything, but an awkward arrangement of ideas can destroy 20% of your effort and an irrelevant twist of ideas can destroy most of your effort. Finally, a student finishes the exam with satisfaction thinking that he has written a long essay. However, he collapses mentally getting the result when he cannot detect what the wrong was, and starts blaming his luck. It is mentionable that most of the students lose relevance while writing essays.
