Movies like Breaking Bad depict acids dissolving human bodies into nothingness within minutes, often leaving just a puddle. This dramatic flair captivates audiences but wildly exaggerates reality. Scientifically, strong acids can degrade human tissue, yet complete dissolution is far slower, messier, and incomplete without extreme conditions.

𝐀𝐜𝐢𝐝'𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬🧪

Hydrochloric or sulfuric acid attacks skin first, melts flesh and exposes bone, as seen in acid violence cases. Concentrated sulfuric acid dehydrates proteins and carbs, turning tissue into a black goo over days at room temperature—flesh in about 48 hours, bones in weeks or a month. Experiments confirm this: University of Milan tests took two days for soft tissue and bones even with heated acid, leaving crumbly fragments needing manual crushing.
Hydrofluoric acid, featured in Breaking Bad, is highly toxic but poor for full dissolution due to handling risks and incomplete bone breakdown. Pressurized, superheated lye (not acid) can liquify a body faster—around two hours—yielding amino acid slurry and bone bits, per forensic studies. Even the super acid like Fluoroantimonic acid is insanely powerful, but it can badly damage a body.
It cannot completely dissolve it into nothing.
Real-world chemistry is far less dramatic than fiction.

Why movies lie:📽️

Hollywood prioritizes speed and spectacle. Real disposal requires vast acid volumes (500-550 liters per body), generates toxic fumes, and leaves evidence like bone shards or sludge. No common acid fully vaporizes everything instantly; residues persist, detectable forensically.
In truth, acids destroy but don't erase. Survivors of attacks suffer permanent scars, blindness, and bone erosion—not cinematic vanishing acts. Forensic science debunks the myth: bodies persist in acid baths for days, often intact enough for identification.

Each and everyday we see countless efforts, dedication, struggle of women around us.
Today is the day when we celebrate the strength, achievements, and contributions of women across the world. From science and education to leadership and social change, women continue to shape our society with courage and determination. Inspired by pioneers like Marie Curie and advocates such as Malala Yousafzai, this day reminds us of the importance of equality, respect, and opportunity for every woman and girl.

Let us honor their achievements and continue working toward a more inclusive and empowering world where no woman have to suffer for being only 'woman' and justice has to be ensured strictly with strong hands.
