The Athletics Day is one of the most sought-after events of our calendar, here at Springdale International School. In this event, our Honeybees gather together, put on their best sports gear and go all in trying to claim the prized Athletics Day trophy.

This past 14th of December, 2022 Springdale International School celebrated the country's 51st Victory Day by hosting the second annual Athletics Day.

The event was a huge success and was graced with the presence of dignitaries and other respected names in sports, social welfare and business.

Catapult a rocket into space

Catapults were used in times of war during the Middle Ages. But now it is being used to throw rockets to orbit. Seven large craft sticks, rubber bands, a pom poms or bottle cap is enough to experiment with the science behind it. Our second graders have joyfully experienced doing so during STEAM class.

In light of SDIS's vision and as a core component of the IB curriculum, students of Grade 3-6 have celebrated International Literacy Day with the less fortunate children of Mojar School in collaboration with Charity Right.

Springdale International School envisions to build a gifted future generation who will cherish our values and become custodians of a just, viable future. In light of our vision and as a core component of the IB curriculum, students of Grade 3-6 have celebrated International Literacy Day with the less fortunate children of মজার ইশকুল :: Mojar School in collaboration with Charity Right BD.

Demonstrating the IB Learner Profile, ‘Caring’, the students ran a charity drive, collecting notebooks and stationaries for the students of Mojar School in order to support them and share the love of learning.

As they discussed about the various difficulties that the street children faced in their path to education, they questioned the impossibility of the idea to study with an empty stomach. When they learned about Charity Right Bangladesh, an international Aid & Food programme that provides regular meals to school children, families and other communities in need, they requested their support and collaboration to provide 150 students of Mojar School with lunch for a day.

The event provided the students an opportunity to view the world from a different perspective and understand that a lot can be achieved when people collaborate.

The Academic Year kicked off with a productive orientation week.

SDIS faculty members focused on team building, SDIS vision, IB mission statements and unfolded the curriculum frameworks in groups.
