โ€‹The IEEE IAS DIU Student Branch Chapter recently organized a highly technical Industrial Visit to the 216 KWp Solar Power Installation at Karnaphuli Shoe Industries Ltd. ๐Ÿš€โšก

โ€‹This visit provided our student engineers with direct exposure to industrial-scale solar photovoltaic systems and green energy integration. Participants studied the performance parameters of the 216 KWp CapEx setupโ€”comprising 800 Trina 275 Wp solar modules and 4 units of 50 kW SOFARSOLAR string invertersโ€”generating over 26,500 kWh of clean electricity monthly. By connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world solar engineering, this tour deepened our understanding of sustainable energy transitions in modern industries.

On 26th July 2026, the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) DIU Student Branch Chapter organized a highly enriching Industrial Visit to the Karnaphuli Hydroelectric Power Station in Kaptai, Rangamati. ๐ŸŒŠโšก

This technical tour provided our future engineers with an exclusive, hands-on understanding of Bangladesh's premier renewable power plant operations. Participants gained firsthand exposure to Kaplan turbine dynamics, hydroelectric power generation, high-voltage generator and transformer systems, real-time control and monitoring operations, and grid integration. By connecting theoretical classroom knowledge with large-scale industrial ex*****on, this visit strengthened our members' practical insights into modern power systems engineering.
