Many students dream about studying in Malaysia, but the visa process often feels confusing. Some get stuck because they don’t know where to start. Others listen to the wrong advice and face delays. If you’ve ever felt lost in the process, you’re not alone.

So here’s the journey, explained like a simple story.

1️⃣ The First Step: Getting the Offer Letter
Everything begins when you receive an offer letter from the university you want to join. Without this, nothing can move forward. Think of it as the key that opens the rest of the journey.

2️⃣ Applying Through EMGS
Once you have the offer letter, you enter the EMGS portal. This is where you upload your passport scans, academic certificates, photo and the offer letter. It feels like packing your bag before a long trip.

3️⃣ Paying the Visa Fee
Next, you pay the visa fee. You can do it on the EMGS website or through your university. This is where your application officially starts moving.

4️⃣ Waiting and Tracking
After submitting everything, you keep checking the EMGS portal. Every update feels like waiting for exam results. Slowly, the percentage goes up, and you get closer to approval.

5️⃣ Getting the Visa Approval Letter (VAL)
One day, the email arrives. Your VAL is ready. This letter is your ticket to the next chapter of your journey.

6️⃣ Applying for the E-Visa
When your EMGS progress reaches around 70%, you can apply for the E-Visa online. Now things start to feel real.

7️⃣ Booking Your Flight
With the VAL in hand, you finally book your flight. This is the moment when excitement takes over.

8️⃣ Facing Immigration in Malaysia
When you land in Malaysia, you show your documents to immigration. It’s your first official step into your new student life.

9️⃣ The Medical Test
Within 7 days, you need to complete your medical test at an EMGS-approved clinic. Many students think that doing the test in Bangladesh will help, but Malaysia does not accept it. So this step must be done there.

🔟 Reporting to Your University
After your medical report is cleared, you visit your university. You do biometric verification and then collect your student pass sticker. This is the final piece of your student identity.

Important things to remember

• Never do your medical test in Bangladesh.
• Don’t trust people who promise a “visa in 10 days.”
• Always verify your offer letter with the university.
