Artemis I, you are going to the Moon!
At 1:47 am EST, currently the world’s most powerful rocket, the Space Launch System, launched the Orion spacecraft from launch pad 39B in Florida to make its journey to Earth’s natural orbiting satellite—The Moon. The Artemis I mission is a flight test and is an opportunity to better understand the integrated system before we fly astronauts aboard on Artemis II.
But the mission has only just begun… Through the mission, we'll have live coverage of Orion's closest approach to the Moon, an inside look of Mission Control, and more!
NASA is returning to the lunar surface to not only create a long-lasting presence on the Moon and eventually Mars, but to unlock new scientific discoveries, and inspire the next generations of space explorers —The Artemis Generation.
Stay tuned on social media for more updates throughout the mission. GO ARTEMIS!

🌝 LUNAR ECLIPSE 2022 🌚
▶️ An almost 'Total Lunar Eclipse' in Bangladesh sky will be observed on tomorrow evening, 08 November!!
This global Event named will begin at 02 pm but as the Moon will rise at 05:11 pm, we will witness local maximum sharp at 05:14 pm. Earth's shadow over the moon will last for almost 03 hours.
Lunar eclipses occur when the Sun and Earth align to cast a shadow on the moon. Generally, the orbit of moon carries it above or below the shadow of the Earth, but When these three heavenly bodies align this fairly rare natural phenomena occur.
Join IUT FIS members at 05 pm in front of the CDS to experience this magnificent incident live with binoculars and telescopes!

What we see is deceiving indeed!
What color is the sun? Spoiler alert: It's not yellow

☀️ Nasa’s Solar Dynamics Observatory captured an image of what appeared to be a happy face pattern on the sun earlier this week, prompting the US space agency to say the sun was seen “smiling”.
👉🏼 The agency released the image Wednesday on Twitter, writing: “Today, Nasa’s Solar Dynamics Observatory caught the sun ‘smiling.’ Seen in ultraviolet light, these dark patches on the sun are known as coronal holes and are regions where fast solar wind gushes out into space.”
📷 Since its release, Nasa’s photo has prompted a slew of responses online, with many comparing the image to a carved Halloween pumpkin, a lion and the sun featured in the children’s show Teletubbies.

Space science and its endless mysteries have always fascinated mankind. Ever imagining of how a rocket flies? How to design and launch a satellite? There are always questions and associated answers to them. To stimulate the environment of real space mission the concept of CANSAT came into existence. We are committed to provide the practical understanding of complex engineering projects from conceptual design, integration and operations to post summary & analysis.
The workshop aims at designing and providing the knowledge of space science, satellites, electronics and embedded systems from basic to advance level.
The workshop not only aims at skill development but the data so obtained has great viability in research and commercial applications.
