Congratulations to the Department of EEE at BUET on the tape-out of Pragati v1 — a 32-bit RISC-V processor designed entirely with open-source EDA tools and an open PDK, fabricated by IHP Germany under its open-source shuttle program.

Special credit to Prof. ABM Harun-ur Rashid Sir, undergraduates Khalid Hossain, Sheikh Tariful Islam and experienced hands: AKM Uday Hasan Bhuiyan and ABM Tafsirul Islam.

Silicon designed in Dhaka, running on an open ISA. That's a template others here can now follow.

A team at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has designed a 32-bit computer processor using entirely open-source technologies.

→ The Ministry of Science and Technology, BSIA, and the Silicon River team, for turning an ambition into a two-day ex*****on platform.
→ The volunteers and organising crew who ran on four hours of sleep so everyone else's day ran smoothly. We saw you.
→ The speakers and global industry partners who took Bangladesh seriously enough to get on a plane.
→ The students and startup founders who built something and then went on to show it.

At Unive, our work is the layer underneath all of this: training the engineers and the future trainers who will actually staff the fabs, the design houses, and the labs that this vision depends on.
