"Get"

1. Recieve → কোন কিছু গ্রহণ করা।
আমি আমার শিক্ষার্থীদের একজনের কাছ থেকে একটি উপহার পেয়েছি।
I got a gift form one of my students.
আমি তোমার চিঠি পেয়েছি।
I got your letter.

2. buy → কেনা ; ক্রয় করা।

আমি তোমার জন্মদিনের জন্য তোমাকে একটি গিটার কিনে দিব।
I will get you a guitar for your birth day.
তুমি এটা কোথা থেকে কিনেছো?
Where did you get it?
অয়্যার ডিড ইউ গেট ইট?

3. Obtain → পাওয়া/ প্রাপ্ত হওয়া।

জন রেলওয়ে স্টেশনে চাকরি পেয়েছে।
Jhon got a job at the Railway Station.
সে HSC পরিক্ষায় A+ পেয়েছে।
She got A + in HSC exam.

4. Have got / has got → আছে

তার তিনজন ছেলে -মেয়ে আছে।
She has got three children.
আমার অনেক টাকা নেই।
I haven’t got much money.

5.Have got to / has got to → বাধ্যবাধকতা (Obligation)

আমাদেরকে ইভটিজিং প্রতিরোধ করতেই হবে৷
We have got to protest eve-teasing.
তাকে একটা গান গাইতেই হবে।
She has got to sing a song

6. Offers → প্রস্তাব করা।

আমি কি তোমাকে কিছু খেতে দিব?
Can I get you something to eat?
আমি কি আপনাকে এক কাপ চা খাওয়াতে পারি?
Can I get you a cup of tea?

7. Request → অনুরোধ করা।

অনুগ্রহ করে আমাকে মেনু টি দিন।
Could you get me the menu please?
অনুগ্রহ করে আমাকে এক গ্লাস পানি দিন।
Could you get me a glass of water please?

8. Reach a place → কোন জায়গায় যাওয়া /পৌছানো।

আমি কিভাবে এয়ারপোর্টে যেতে পারি?
How can I get to the airport?
আমি গতকাল দেরিতে বাড়ি পৌছেছিলাম৷
Yesterday, I got home late.

9. Become → হওয়া

বাচ্চারা মাকড়সা দেখে সত্যিই ভীতসন্ত্রস্ত হয়েছিল।
The kids really got scared when they saw the spider.
তুমি কি পাগল হয়ে গেছ?
Have you got mad?

10. Bad experiences → খারাপ কিছু ঘটা।

অফিসে দেরি করার জন্য আমাকে চাকরিচ্যুত করা হয়েছে।
I got fired for being late to office.
আমি যখন বাসে ছিলাম তখন আমার মানিব্যাগ চুরি হয়ে যায়।
My wallet got stolen when I was in the bus.

11. Understand → বুঝতে পারা

আমি এখন আপনার কথা বুঝতে পেরেছি।
I can get you now.
বুঝতে পেরেছেন?
Got it?
আমাকে ভুল বুঝবেন না।

মনে রাখবেন আমরা এমন অনেক ধরনের কথা বলে থাকি believed to কে নিয়ে একে অন্যের সাথে।
