On March 26, Bangladesh observes Independence Day, marking the historic moment in 1971 when a nation rose against oppression to claim its rightful place on the world stage. This day stands as a powerful symbol of courage, unity, and the unbreakable spirit of a people who refused to be silenced. The sacrifices of countless martyrs and the determination of our freedom fighters laid the foundation for the independent Bangladesh we proudly call home today.

ACPS Astronomy & Space Research Club pays its deepest respect to those heroes whose bravery secured not only our sovereignty but also our right to learn, to question, and to explore. Their legacy continues to inspire us to look beyond boundaries - both on Earth and in the vastness of space.

As we remember the struggles of the past, we also reflect on the nation’s journey of resilience, growth, and achievement over the decades. Adamjee Cantonment Public School enters a new era of astronomy education with the installation of its first on-campus telescope, marking a significant step forward in practical learning and student-led scientific exploration. The handover was held in the presence of Club Moderator Rawshan Akter Chowdhury Ma’am and the Executive Members of the ACPS Astronomy & Space Research Club, where the Founding President, Almas Sakib Ovi, officially presented the telescope to the Honorable Principal, Lt. Col. Md. Ziaur Rahman, symbolizing a new chapter in the school’s scientific journey.

As part of the ceremony, Lt. Col. Md. Ziaur Rahman exchanged words with the Founding President and appreciated the club’s ongoing efforts in promoting astronomy and scientific engagement among students. The Honorable Principal congratulated him for achieving the Silver Honour in the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Competition (IAAC) 2025, recognizing the achievement as an important international milestone for both the student and the institution.

The ACPS Astronomy & Space Research Club remains committed to ensuring responsible operation of the facility, organizing regular observation sessions, and creating opportunities for students to experience astronomy beyond textbooks. Through this initiative, the club aims to nurture curiosity, encourage scientific thinking, and build a sustainable culture of space science education within Adamjee Cantonment Public School.

Celebrating 3 Years of The ACPS Astronomy & Space Research Club

Founded on November 3, 2022, the ACPS Astronomy & Space Research Club began with a bold vision to bring the universe closer to young minds and cultivate scientific curiosity that extends beyond the classroom. Over three transformative years, the club has grown from a small initiative into a pioneering platform for space education, innovation, and collaboration.

From hosting national-level olympiads and workshops to partnering with researchers and science communicators, every milestone has reinforced our mission to empower students through discovery. Each project and workshop has reflected our core belief that knowledge grows when shared and imagination expands when challenged.

As we celebrate our third year, we look ahead with greater ambition. The next phase of our journey will focus on advancing research-oriented learning, launching new educational campaigns, and building stronger bridges between academic curiosity and real-world exploration.

Three years down, an infinite frontier ahead. The sky was never our limit; it was our starting point. Let's Think Beyond Space.
