প্যারাফ্রেজিং: প্যারাফ্রেজ নোট করার পদ্ধতি

লিসনিং:
একই বিষয়কে সেম মিনিং রেখে ভিন্ন ভাবে বলা ই প্যারাফ্রাজিং। এখন প্যারাফ্রাজিং কিভাবে নোটস করবো এবং বুঝবো, যাতে করে পরবর্তীতে তা কাজে লাগে:

প্রশ্নে দেওয়া আছে,
A) You need to reserve a place
E) It is cheaper this month.

স্পিকার যা বলে,
This would normally cost $30 but is available at half price for this month only. There are only limited number of places available for this, so to make a booking phone….

এখন খেয়াল করে দেখুন reserve এর পরিবর্তে booking এবং cheaper এর পরিবর্তে half price ব্যাবহার করা হয়েছে। যতগুলা লিসনিং সলভ করবেন এভাবে নোট করে রাখবেন তাহলে পরে উত্তর করতে সুবিধা হবে।

প্রশ্নে দেওয়া ওয়ার্ডস আর পেসেজের ওয়ার্ডস খেয়াল করুন। মিনিং সেম কিন্তু হাই লেভেলের প্যারাফ্রাজিং। প্রতিটি প্যাসেজ সলভ করার সময় এভাবে এনালাইজ করতে হবে। তাহলে ইমপ্রুভ অবশ্যই হবে।

Listening MCQ Elimination & Pick up Process

MCQ উত্তর করার জন্য দুইটি পদ্ধতি আমরা ফলো করবো। এর মধ্যে যেটি যখন কাজে লাগে, সেটি তখন ব্যবহার করবো।

Elimination Process: স্পিকার যখন কোনো কিছু বলবে যেটা অপশানের বিপরীত তখন সেটা ক্রস (বাদ) করে দেওয়া, এটা হলো Elimination Process.

Pick up process: যেটা উত্তর সেটাই পিক করা অর্থাৎ টিক মার্ক দিয়ে রাখা।

MCQ তে দুইটা বিষয় কনকারেন্টলি খেয়াল রাখা প্রয়োজন।

এখন আমরা এ দুই প্রসেসে কিছু MCQ সলভ করবো

Visit to Branley Castle

11. Before Queen Elizabeth I visited the

We’ll be arriving at Branley Castle in about five minutes, but before we get there, I’ll give you a little information about the castle and what our visit will include.

So in fact, there’s been a castle on this site for over eleven hundred years. The first building was a fort constructed in 914 AD for defence against Danish invaders by King Alfred the Great’s daughter, who ruled England at the time. In the following century, after the Normans conquered England, the land was given to a nobleman called Richard de Vere, and he built a castle there that stayed in the de Vere family for over four hundred years.

However, when Queen Elizabeth I announced that she was going to visit the castle in 1576 it was beginning to look a bit run down, and it was decided that rather than repair the guest rooms (তারমানে হলো গেস্ট রুম রিপেয়ার করে নাই- এটা বুঝার সাথে সাথে অপশান A ক্রস করে দিবেন। এরকম যত বাদ দিবেন তত আপনার উত্তর দেওয়া সহজ হবে এবং ভুল উত্তর বাদ দিয়ে সঠিক উত্তর দেওয়ার সম্ভাবনা বেড়ে যাবে, (Q11) they’d make a new house ( এটা শুনে B অপশানে টিক মার্ক দিবেন- Pick up process) for her out of wood next to the main hall. আপনি যদি পিক আপ প্রসেসে B আন্সার ধরতে পারেন, তাহলে অপশান নিয়ে চিন্তা না করে পরের MCQ তে চলে যাবেন।

12.In 1982, the castle was sold to

In the seventeenth century, the castle belonged to the wealthy Fenys family( অপশান B-ক্রস) , who enlarged it and made it more comfortable. However, by 1982 the Fenys family could no longer afford to maintain the castle, even though they received government support (এখানে বিক্রি বা ক্রয় নিয়ে কিছু বলে নাই। সুতরা A-ক্রস। এখন C আন্সার কোনো সন্দেহ নাই। এটা Elimination Process এর বেনিফিট), and they put it on the market. It was eventually taken over by (Q12) a company who owned a number of amusement parks ( যদি আগের দুইটা ধরতে না পারেন তাইলে Pick up process-এ আসলে C আন্সার হচ্ছে), but when we get there, I think you’ll see that they’ve managed to retain the original atmosphere of the castle.

13. In some of the rooms, visitors can

A. speak to experts on the history of the castle.

B. interact with actors dressed as famous characters.

C. see models of historical figures moving and talking.

When you go inside, you’ll find that in the staterooms (Q13) there are life-like moving wax models dressed in costumes of different periods in the past, which even carry on conversations together (Pick process-A) . As well as that, in every room there are booklets ( No experts- C×) giving information about what the room was used for and the history of the objects and furniture it contains.

14. In the castle park, visitors can

A. see an 800-year-old tree.

B. go to an art exhibition.

C. visit a small zoo.

The castle park’s quite extensive. At one time, sheep were kept there, and in the nineteenth century, the owners had a little zoo with animals like rabbits and even a baby elephant (No zoo- C×). Nowadays, the old zoo buildings are used for (Q14) public displays of painting and sculpture ( that means art exhibition- Answer-B). The park also has some beautiful trees, though the oldest of all, which dated back 800 years, was sadly blown down ( It is no longer there- A×) in 1987.

15. At the end of the visit, the group will have

A. afternoon tea in the conservatory.

B. the chance to meet the castle’s owners.

C. a photograph together on the Great Staircase.

Now, you’re free to wander around on your own until 4.30, but then at the end of our visit, we’ll all meet together at the bottom of the Great Staircase. We’ll then go on to the long gallery, where there’s a wonderful collection of photographs ( No photograph together-C×) showing the family who owned the castle (No information about meeting- B×) a hundred years ago having tea and cakes in the conservatory – and we’ll then take you to (Q15) the same place, where afternoon tea will be served ( So the answer is A) to you.
