*Process of Communication*

Communication requires decisions and activities made by both the sender and the receiver.

The sender must decide what information to express and write the message (or content) in words or symbols that the intended receiver can understand. Encoding is the process of turning an idea into symbols.

The receiver attends to and interprets the message. Decoding refers to the process of translating symbols into concepts and comprehending messages.
