Every GIS beginner eventually meets two fundamental data types: Raster and Vector.
Vector represents geographic features as:
• Points — schools, hospitals, trees
• Lines — roads, rivers, pipelines
• Polygons — districts, lakes, land parcels

Raster represents the world as pixels—perfect for satellite imagery, elevation, temperature and vegetation analysis.
Same Earth. Different ways of representing it.
