TRAFFIC JAM(Paragraph)

Traffic jam is a common affair in the big cities and towns. When a long line of vehicles cannot move forward due to huge traffic is called traffic jam. It is one of the major problems of modern time. Traffic jam or traffic congestion has become a serious problem in many metropolitan cities of the world. In Bangladesh this problem is most serious in Dhaka City. The city streets are often clogged with the long line of vehicles that cannot move. Sometimes the vehicles stand still for hours together. This kills the valuable time of the passengers. They cannot reach their destination in time. There are many reasons of traffic congestion. A huge number of people live in the city. They need more vehicles and more traffic space to move on. But the roads and streets of Dhaka cannot provide such space for the huge number of vehicles to ply on. In many metropolitan cities in the world there are underground rail roads/subways and sufficient number of fly overs that manage the traffic well. But there is no such plan in our cities till now. Experts say that narrow roads, rickshaws, excess pressure of population etc contribute to the traffic congestion. Traffic jam causes untold sufferings to the people. It kills our valuable time office going people, students, patients are the worst sufferers. Sometimes patients die on the road due to traffic jam. Whatever be the causes of it, the problem needs to be solved or at least we should keep it under a tolerable level. It is necessary for the Government to identify all the causes of traffic jam and try its best to take all possible steps to solve the problem.
