Check list for usa Student visa:
We can be divided the total process in four different steps:
Step 1: At the time of application in institution:
a. All postsecondary (college or university) transcripts, marks sheets, diplomas or certificates. Post-
secondary qualifications include associate degree, diploma, certificate, bachelor& #39;s degree, post-
graduate diploma and master& #39;s degree. All non-English credentials must be accompanied by
certified word-for-word translations. For Bangladeshi students all transcripts need to do notary)
b. Statement of Purpose: an essay explaining your motivation, aptitude and goals.
c. Letters of recommendation. The number of letters required varies according to program.
Sometimes it required more than two letters of recommendation). Letters of recommendation
usually issued by current and past education institutions and employers.
d. A résumé or CV
e. Certified bank statement or government sponsorship letter verifying financial support for one
academic year. Bank statements cannot be older than three months from the time of issue.
f. Completed financial declaration form signed by both the applicant and the sponsor
g. Copy of biographical section of applicant’s current passport
h. English Language Proficiency test results
Note: All the papers need to scan separately because all of them need to upload at the
institution admission portal at time of application, if the application needs to do over online)
and try to take the admission as early as possible. It’s better to apply for admission at least 3
months before the class start date. Some institutions ask for around $500 deposit at time of i20
issuing.
Step 2: application for admission:
After accumulating all the papers in step 1 the applicant need to apply for admission for his desired
institutions. Note: some intuitions charge for application fees which vary from $ 50 to $150.
a. An accurate, complete and legible international application form that has been signed and dated
by the applicant, most of cases online application form.
b. If the institution approves the application then they will issue i20 for the student. Usually
intuition takes 2 to 4 weeks to come up with their decision.
Not: sometimes institutions ask for additional papers so always keep on eyes on email which you
provided at the time of application.
Step 3: Fill F1 Visa application. Link https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/
a. Sign and date the front page of your I-20.
b. student visa appointment Pay the SEVIS I-901 fee
c. The application fee payment receipt (usually need to pay in Eastern Bank)
d. Complete a student visa application form (Form DS-160) electronically, print the confirmation
page to bring to your interview. (This visa application will ask you to upload a designated size of
digital photo of yourself)
e. A passport photo (USA embassy designated size)
Step 4: Interview
a. Take all papers of step 1 and step 3 along with original valid passport.
b. Arrive on time to your interview.
c. Promptness is expected. Your F-1/J-1 visa interview will determine whether you are qualified to
receive an F-1/J-1 student visa for the U.S. Your visa may be approved or denied at the
discretion of the consular officer.
